Average taste, not authentic Indian food. Over priced. Average taste, not authentic Indian food. Over priced.

I've dined at Monsoon 3 times: twice for dinner, once for lunch. All my meals there were delicious, and the service was friendly and timely. The ambience is nice; the decor is chic and modern but the atmosphere is friendly and conversational. Lunch is the typical buffet-style with classic and more obscure selections, and the dinner menu offers a wide variety of tasty choices. I also happen to be a vegetarian, and I can vouch for the plentitude of veggie-friendly dishes! I'd reccommend this restaurant to those who love Indian as well as those new to this scrumptious cuisine! GO! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED! :)

Four of us had dinner at Mansoon on a frigid Wednesday night (20 windy degrees), and were surprised to find the restaurant quite busy. It did not take long for us to understand why.
After several suggestions from our gracious server, we ordered were soon enjoying a memorable meal. We started our meal, as she suggested, with the Vegetable Samosa and Tandoori Gobhi (tandoori-style caulifower) as appetizers; A warm and flavorful selection. The Samosa was served in light, crispy pastry shells, We enjoyed the Tandoori Gobhi with the sauces offered in small cups along with light crispy snacks.
For our main courses, we ordered Aloo Parantha (bread stuffed w. potatoes); Tandoori Chicken; Chicken Saagwala (chicken w. creamed spinach); Lamb Roganjosh (relatively hot); and the mixed curry veggies, called Navrattan Curry (an outstanding vegetarian dish). All excellent choices.
Along with excellent cuisine, we truly enjoyed the very pleasant and attentive service from all the servers. I would definitely recommend this terrific dining place, whether you wish to share it with friends, as my wife and I did, for a celebration, as a large group of diners were doing a few tables away, or for a romanting evening, as several couples were all around the dining room.
Thank you to everyone at Mansoon for a memorable evening.

We enjoyed our first trip to Monsoon. First, it was nice having another Indian restaurant in the area (otherwise we go to Coriander in Voorhees). Second, it was BYOB, we makes a meal much more economical (I love an icy cold beer with spicy curry). It is not inexpensive, but compared to Coriander or some of the nice South Asian restaurants in New York City (we love Sapphire), the prices were fine. We usually stick with vegetarian dishes, and the ones we tried were delicious, spicy, and plentiful. It was the two of us, and we ordered naan, one appetizer that had a couple of different items, and two vegetarian dishes with basmati rice, and we wound up taking leftovers home. The restaurant is a big, open space, with more of an art deco look than the darker colors one often sees in Asian restauarants. It might not have the intimacy many look for, but it was enjoyable and delicious.

Restaurant is very new in a nice location. Decoration is eye pleasing. Appears to be a family run restaurant with dad and kids all around. Somewhat uncomfortable. Tables are slightly higher than normal.
Food is extremely pricey for restaurants of any cuisine. Chicken dishes are $14.95 and up. Vegetarian dishes are $11.95 and up. One piece of nun is $2.50 and up.
We went vegetarian and ordered one paneer makhani, one okra, and kofta malaikari and a bread basket with few pieces of bread. No appetizers, no drinks, no coffee/tea, no desert; and Cost $47 before tips. Kofta curry had four 1" balls of kofta swimming in a bowl of gravy. Paneer makhani had eight 1/2" cubes of paneer in the same gravy as kofta curry. Okra curry was good size but dripping with oil. Nuns were OK.
Food was average quality but quite small in portion even the white rice for three of us was one small bowl. We left wondering whether these folks know that customers are leaving hungry after paying $55 for two adults and one child!!"
