General Info: Mount Clemens General Hospital is an acute care, 288-bed osteopathic hospital that serves patients throughout the greater Macomb County, Mich., area. The hospital provides patients with family practices, specialized programs in women and children's medicine, cancer services, emergency medicine and surgical services. Its teaching program attracts hundreds of students from throughout the nation, with interns and residents training in eight medical areas, including internal medicine, family practice, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, general surgery, urology, otorhinolaryngology and oro-facial plastic surgery and orthopedics. Patients who cannot afford health care or have no medical insurance are given aid in the Mount Clemens General Outreach Clinic. Mount Clemens General Hospital is located in Mount Clemens, Mich. It also operates three offsite Prompt Care urgent care centers, located in Clinton Township, Chesterfield Township, and Shelby Township.
