Overall

I am a daily customer of this store. I usually have no problems the staff are great. But, when I went in yesterday to buy some food items and cigarettes, I put my items on the counter and then went to get my payment out. As the cashier rang me up, she told me she was new and only on her forth shift. I put my cash on the counter next to my purse as she did this while I looked for my EBT card to pay for the food items. Before she even told me the total she completed the sale by finishing out the sale on the register thinking I was using the money that she saw laying on the counter next to my purse. When I explained to her that I was going to use my EBT to pay for the food and the cash was to pay for the cigarettes because the cigarettes were for someone else, she told me that she could not void the sale and she didn't know what to do so she called the manager. While she was on the phone with the manager the manager told her to put all of my items back and not sell me anything. I have worked as a cashier myself more than once and know for a fact that this can be remedied very easily. But they are not allowing the cashiers to be able to void a sale or even items when they are ringing someone up. Considering that I am a daily customer and spend a very large amount of money in that store I was completely taken back by this. I have never heard of such a thing. I will never shop here again and I will never recommend this place to anyone again at least until they get new management. They explained that the owner is not involved in this and it was the manager. I have no way of contacting the owner but I am going to try so that she is aware of what her manager is doing to her customers that are spending so much money in they're store everyday. I am very disappointed to say the least about this manager. The other staff and cashier's are great. But obviously this manager doesn't know what she's doing and doesn't know a thing about customer service. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else but I have a feeling that this is not a one time thing. Also I have had problems with items ringing up incorrectly when I go to pay for them. Which is not the cashiers fault because that should be put into the computer system ahead of time so that brings up with the sale price not the regular price. So make sure if you shop there that you check your items and their prices and make sure they all ring up correctly. Overall I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. New management is definitely needed desperately.
