Divorce
I have practiced law for 24 years and the past 18 years, I have focused exclusively on divorce and family law cases. I always knew I wanted to be a lawyer. I admired the power that I believed lawyers had to “win” rights for the clients they served. After all, I’ve always been a fighter. I have been knocked down a few times but I always found the strength and determination to get up and get back in the game.
Child Support
Unless both parents agree how the expenses for the children will be shared, the amount of child support for children under the age of 18 is generally determined by the New Jersey Child Support Guidelines.
Child Custody and Visitation
When spouses decide to divorce, child custody is typically the first issue to be resolved before addressing division of marital assets and debts, support of spouses and children, and other financial issues.
Guardianship
The first pleading that initiates the Court proceeding, such as a Complaint for Divorce, Complaint for Custody, Child Support, Parenting Time, Grandparent Visitation, Kinship Legal Guardianship by identifying the parties; stating the grounds for divorce; stating all claims against the Defendant; and requesting the Court to grant a Divorce, grant Custody, divide property and order support. All complaints must be filed with the Court and served on the adverse party along with a Summons.
Spousal Support
Alimony consists of payments made regularly (typically monthly) by one spouse to the other. The obligation to pay alimony typically arises when the marriage enabled one spouse to forgo opportunities to earn what he or she otherwise could’ve earned had it not been for the marriage.

Sex Crimes
The criminal offenses under the New Jersey Domestic violence law are homicide, assault, terroristic threats, kidnapping, criminal restraint, false imprisonment, sexual assault, criminal sexual conduct, lewdness, criminal mischief, burglary, criminal trespass, harassment and cyber harassment, stalking, criminal coercion, robbery, contempt of a domestic violence order and any crime involving risk of death or serious bodily injury.
