Verde Ristorante

We went here for Mother's Day yesterday and I had been several times before and loved it. The food is always amazing and it once again didn't disappoint BUT this time because it was Mothers Day and I had my small kids I realized this is NOT at all a kid friendly restaurant! There were only 2 high hairs in the entire restaurant and of course they were being used so we had to hold my daughter who is 1 and a wiggle worm for half of our dinner until a group left that had a high chair! I was besides myself and would have just left but i was with my entire family. It was NOT a relaxing dinner for me and it totally ruined my entire meal! The owner was the one who sat us and he didn't seem to be too upset with the situation either which I just couldn't understand. When I made the reservation and said 2 kids it is the host/hostesses responsibility to ASK if we need a high chair if they know they have a very limited amount so they can schedule the reservations accordingly! I would never assume that a restaurant that is open for Mothers day has only 2 high chairs! I mean how much are they? Could they not afford to buy 2 or 3 more so they dont have this issue? What if someone has twins and there is another kid in the restaurant!! I get that it is a small restaurant but they could store them somewhere! I was just so disappointed and honestly would never go back because of this! Maybe they don't want kids dining there which is fine BUT you shouldn't be taking reservations on Mothers day with kids then!! just SO disappointed!
