Long time neighborhood favorite. Relatives come from other towns to get their cakes here. It is the best. Go early fir more variety and the help is not as crabby as later on.

Since when is custard pie (all pies) "not" required to be refrigerated due to the eggs & milk it contains??? The owner, tall ugly ugly old nasty dude who believes he's being challenged by little lady customers, insists that every pie he sells (by the way-pies are made elsewhere not at amys) is not to be refrigerated due to "natural ingredients & no preservatives". No Mr. IDIOT I grew up in a restaurant when eggs & milk "natural ingredients & no preservatives" were always refrigerated to prevent spoilage.
All because I asked for a refund of $8.60 & only a few days passed till I cut the rubbery pie the night before. He was such a jerk about it w/an ugly attitude & decided to lecture how he been in his business for 40 years etc. I finally stood my ground & stated it was all about customer service, but he wanted to continue w/his rude challenging & tell me that he would give a slice to the customers that were on the other side of the room as he was cutting pieces frantically from the pie I returned & shoving a piece in his repulsive mouth.
Although hurtful & embarrassing at that moment, I was the better person who decided that he could have his pie as I said "I'm not going to argue w/you" & walked out of the bakery. As for their cakes-all of them are dry/pricey & lacks flavor too....better places out there as we all know...that place has always been a show place.
And that owner...he's a prick & he knows it!!!

On good days there are no lines, the pastries and breads are fresh, and the people at the counter are friendly. Then there are those other days where you question whether the stuff you're eating was bought from the grocery store and they seem to waiting for the yeast to rise before helping a customer..

Provided by SuperpagesBEWARE: THEY CLOSE THE DOORS EARLY...LAST FRIDAY I KNOCKED ON THE LOCKED DOOR AT 7:58PM AND THERE WERE 4 YOUNG EMPLOYEES STARING AT ME WHILE CLEANING UP...THEY SPOKED TO THE GIRL WITH THE CASH BOX IN HAND THEN PROCEEDED TO IGNORE ME FOR 5 FULL MINUTES...WHEN I CALLED THAT AFTERNOON TO ORDER A 1/4 B-DAY CAKE THEY TOLD ME THE DOORS CLOSE AT 8:00PM. I'VE BEEN A FAITHFULL PATRON OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT FOR OVER 30 YEARS BUT NEVER AGAIN AND BOY AM I GOING TO TELL ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS IN THE AREA...BAD DECISION GIRLIES...CUSTOMERS ARE ALWAYS FIRST IN ANY RETAIL VENIUE...GO TO COSTCO...IT'S A MUCH BETTER VALUE!
