Sargent Jr Sr High School

My children have attended elementary school, middle school and high school at Sargent in the past several of years. I have noticed that this school is very class-ist and has a very small population of minorities. It is thought of as one of the best schools in the valley but they actually provide less support for students, less communication with parents and fewer choices for families than other local schools. If you are not part of the in crowd then they will look down their nose at you for the entirety of your association. They allow certain students to be favored above their classmates because of who their parents are. The administration will make promises to parents that they do not follow through on. Teachers will target certain students throughout their time with them, from year to year. There is very limited opportunity for children to branch out and explore their interests with electives because they have a very limited selection of teachers and therefore classes. In at least one instance I know the school and certain parents collaborated to commit fraud.
