Established in 1984, Aurora Health Care is a nonprofit health care organization that provides services for the Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center. Its health care centers specialize in the treatment of adult substance abuse, obsessive gambling, depression and attention deficit disorders. The organization's centers offer psychological assessment and testing, outpatient and inpatient treatment, substance abuse evaluation, colorectal cancer screening and counseling services. It operates the Aurora Sports Medicine Institute, which provides physical therapy and rehabilitation of orthopedic and sports-related injuries. Aurora Health Care's pharmacies offer discount on products for senior citizens. Its Aurora Vision Center provides refractive surgery, corneal transplant macular degeneration diagnosis and glaucoma treatment services. In partnership with UW Medical School, the organization operates underserved neighborhoods. Its breast centers are accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. Aurora Health Care maintains operations in more than 90 communities through over 10 hospitals, nearly 100 clinics and approximately 130 community pharmacies. It manages the Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha, Memorial Hospital of Burlington, Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, and Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.
