Hagan Binder Design is a landscape architecture firm founded and based in Miami, Florida. Ashley Hagan Binder is the founding principal and lead designer. She is a registered landscape architect in the States of Florida and Louisiana. Ashley has experience designing and managing hospitality, residential and large scale sustainable development projects. Hagan Binder Design has the ability to manage projects from the large, multi-functional site to the small, intimate scale renovation project. Ashley Hagan Binder gained experience working under the auspices of the renowned landscape architect, Raymond Jungles, in Miami, Florida. Her tenure with Raymond Jungles allowed her to manage high-profile projects in Miami, the Caribbean and South America. She managed over 15 projects with a combined landscape budget totaling over 35 million dollars. Her passion for the work of Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx is what led to an avid interest in the Modern Tropical Landscape design movement, and subsequently, to seek out a menteeship under the work of Raymond Jungles, who studied under Roberto Burle Marx. Prior to working with Raymond Jungles, Ashley was the Director of the Sustainable Landscapes Program for Brad Pitt’s ‘Make It Right Project’ in New Orleans. As Director, she designed and managed the construction of over 60 LEED® Platinum Rated Sustainable Landscapes. While at MIR, she helped to develop a revolutionary pervious concrete system with the Pilot Streets Program for the City of New Orleans Public Works Department. While obtaining a Masters of Landscape Architecture degree at the University of Texas in Austin, Ashley worked as a project manager for a design build firm that specialized in high end residential design. She managed projects for clients that demanded excellence as well as discretion.
