Arizona Red Mountain Eyecare

I have very problematic eyes, have been battling Optic Neuritis on and off for 18 years, have field defects in both eyes, under the care of a Neuro-Ophthalmologist (Dr. A. Herro with Horizon Eye Specialists) and still come regularly to see Dr. Olsen between visits to the Neuro-Ophth to check on my optic nerve and eye pressures. He is the BEST at refraction of any eye doctor I've seen in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and the U.K. Horizon just completed cataract surgery on my right eye and my left will be done in a couple of weeks and even though they refract after the 2nd surgery, I'll get a script from Dr. Olsen before I buy new glasses. I don't understand the negative review on here, other than there are two sides to every story. My Fiancee was also a patient of Dr. Olsen's before we met and she takes both of her children here and gets great service.

I have been going to Arizona Red Mountain Eyecare for years. The Dr is always extremely nice. The staff is always very nice, polite, and helpful. They always make sure I am happy with my purchase. I was looking for a certain pair and the manager searched for the right pair and ordered them for me. Again they are always friendly and polite. I wouldn't ever go any where else.

I chose this location for my children's eyecare because it was nearby. I have now been there twice, and have been very disappointed both times.

The first time, of course I had my 4 children with me, 2 of which I was getting glasses for - the receptionist looked at them & told me that they 'need to stay in a chair, as they had some glass break on the floor recently & she doesn't want them to get hurt." I think she didn't want them to mess with the glasses on display- and what are they supposed to do in there? They say they do children's eyecare there- and yet there is nothing for them to do/use except a stack of magazines- so of course they're tempted to play with the glasses. They even have a couple of displays holding glasses inbetween the chairs where you sit. I was so upset by the time we left. They were so NOT child friendly.

So they ordered the glasses- and it'd been 2 weeks and they never called me! I called them myself to check if the kids' glasses were ready, & they'd been ready for EIGHT days. Their excuse was that they didn't have our correct phone#. I was IRATE- my son had been so anxious to get his new glasses as his current ones are in really bad shape- and here they'd been sitting there, ready to be picked up, & they had never even told us. I asked the employee why they didn't just check the paperwork and get my correct phone# from that- and she said they're a paperless office, so once they type it in, they shred the forms we filled out. In my opinion, you shouldn't do that unless you can type it in CORRECTLYI



So now that I found out on my OWN that I could go get the glasses, I dreaded taking my children there with me. I felt like they didn't want them there. And I can't express how upset I am that we could've gotten these 8 days earlier.



I look forward to trying out a different business for our eyecare needs next time.
