My puppy tested negative for parvo but was having diarrhea. After spending HOURS researching and reading forums I had a strong feeling that there was some sort of intestinal parasite which is "very common amongst puppies" according to almost every article I read. When they tested my puppies stool they said it came back clean. I thought to myself that that was impossible and that there is definitely something wrong because he was getting the runs and not eating. Dr. Anderson's response was simply "Well you better feed it or else it's not going to last long" ... uh ...no duh that is why I am trying to figure out what the heck is wrong! When I asked if he could give me a dewormer (as most puppies are dewormed as a preventative measure he said he wasn't going to do that. I left feeling so frustrated and like I had literally paid them $62 FOR NOTHING. Not even one once of good advice.

I have been going to Anderson Animal Clinic for years. Dr. Anderson was able to properly diagnose my dogs blown discs with an exam and 1 X-ray after multiple other vets took X-ray's and blood test after blood test and had no idea what could be wrong with her. Dr. Anderson is old school. He can take a q-tip, get a sample from an infected ear, look under a microscope, and tell you what is wrong. I've never seen a vet with more knowledge and experience. I did have to have them put one of my dogs too sleep when the time came and they were very compassionate about it. The only problem I've ever had was when I couldn't get my dog in when she needed to be seen for another blown disc in her back, but it happens. They are usually booked in advance because people appreciate the great care and great value they have to offer.

I've been using AAC for almost 10 years, after all this time the service is still horrific! They have no respect for you or your pet. Try to call, no answer; leave a message, they won't return it; most important, ask for your pets pain medication to be called out to the pharmacy, it won't happen! I called 5 days ago, they had to ask the Dr of course. After not hearing anything from the pharmacy for days I called AAC and was advised my dog needed to be seen, why I was not contacted about this 5 days ago is beyond me. My poor baby is now out of medication and they will not even fill 2 weeks worth so I can make it in for an appointment. Today is my only day off for 2 weeks, had they called me 5 days ago I could have been there today! This is NOT the first time this has happened and I'm sure it wouldn't have been the last time, if I was going to go there again, which I will not! It ALWAYS takes an average of 3 or more phone calls to get prescriptions filled or questions answered. Don't waste your time or money here, your pets don't deserve their incompetence.

Insensitive, uncaring and cruel.
Imagine that horrible morning when you are taking your beloved family pet to be euthanized. Now, imagine a vet so callous as to turn you away that terrible morning, after having accepted your appointment, without bothering to examine your pet or even talking to you. Passing judgement sight unseen based on a waiting room screening. This was my experience and I can't imagine a more cruel thing to do to a grieving pet owner. Apparently this is common at Anderson Animal Clinic. I was told by their vet tech it is their practice to screen for euthanasia eligibility in their waiting room, right before the scheduled appointment. Cruel.

We have never met Dr Anderson, but unfortunately had dealings with Dr Smith several times. One time he was shaking so bad as he was performing minor eye surgery on our Lhasa Apso, he cut too far into the corner of her eye - the last time he saw her he put her to sleep without talking to my husband or counseling him on alternatives or anything. We had just moved back here from another state and were in a turmoil and she had a problem so my husband took her in. That was in 2002 and we have never gotten over her death or the circumstances surrounding it. Dr Anderson never answered my letter to him. Then, they forgot to send her to be cremated for 2 wks and when they got her ashes back they couldn't find them and the girls in the office joked about it! Unbelievable.
