Overall

Dr. Cord is very unfeeling, selfish and an all around nasty individual. My father went to him when he had bladder cancer a few years ago. Last year he was diagnosed again with Renal cancer. This took well over a month before Dr. Cord would take him seriously and check for that. He did surgery on my father to remove the kidneys. After surgery he left the kidneys but informed us of other places my father had cancer as well as his kidneys. He gave us all hope that there would be treatment to prolong my dad's life for a while. What he didn't tell us was that my father was never going to leave the hospital and that not only did he have cancer in several places...but also a giant tumor in his stomach. Oops...I guess he didn't see the tumor he cut through to get to his kidneys. A little honesty and compassion would have gone a looooooong way. Instead he let us believe he was going home. I live 1800 miles away with a family of my own. I left my mom with my dad thinking she would be able to take him home, and then my sister would be there to help. Joke was on us! He never went home. He passed away 6 days after surgery due to bleeding of the tumor in his stomach. He robbed us of the time of the extra time I could have had with my dad had I just known not to leave. Not to mention my mom being by herself when my dad passed away. The ironic thing was I overheard Dr. Cord looking at a patient chart with his resident (he did not know I was passing behind him) and I heard him say "Not bad numbers for a guy who is deteriorating". I thought I misheard or was talking about another patient. So, he knew my father was not going to make it...yet, he never let on. Thanks Dr. Cord. If I could give him 0 stars I would.

Overall
Good urologist, and a good np.

Dr. Cord is an excellent urologist he is very thorough and he well versed in current urology practices. After having a rare form of antibiotic resistant e coli for over a year, that put me in the hospital several times and with PICC lines multiple times, and caused significant kidney damage, I met Dr cord. I was transferred from a banner hospital to mountain Vista where he was able to figure out the treatment to cure the e coli. I had seen multiple urologists for this and no one else could figure out how to fix it, but he did! He doesn't have the best bedside manner, he's not going to be the doctor that jokes around with you, but he most likely will be the one that will fix whatever urological issue you have because he really is a great urologist.

The worst experience of my lif...

The worst experience of my life!!! Dr. Cord was the most selfish, unfeeling, unprofessional, rude, uncaring doctor I have ever met!!! DO NOT GO TO HIM. He yelled at me in front of his entire office and patients who by the way left with me after I told them what happened to me and what my experience with him had been. He will cover up mal practice cases if he knows the doctor which he suppervised the one who messed up on me and let him get away with it.
