This doctor did not listen to me at all. I had a bad reaction to some medicine, and he insisted I was better because that was his expected outcome. I suffered for too long because he did not listen.

Adequate physician. Typical Mid-south Doctor. Office convenient to FHI/385 off ramp. Good parking.Can't manage his waiting room. Cannot control his time-meaning overly long waits for pt. Practice oriented to maximize income, therefore patients are expected be on time then to wait for Dr in order to make his time efficient. Practices defensive medicine (refers to other Drs quickly) and orders tests instantly. Doesn't like patients who are very well informed and question his judgment- even for explanations. Doesn't communicate well with patients- talks and expects pt to accept his judgment without pushing him.Pushes generic meds w/o asking pt. Gets lots of pharmaceutical freebies. Has pharmaceutical sponsored videos running in his waiting room incessantly. If patient complains, Summers will expel pt from his practice with form letter. Seems to have intimidated his staff: very little initiative noted. UT graduate. Apparently not a member of the American Medical Association.
