K9 Kampus

I just went by the new dog play center called K9 Kampus in Melbourne Florida. It should be open by March 1st and it looks awesome. It is over 21,000 square feet and it is all for us dog lovers....and cats and small animals too...but mostly dogs. They offer dog daycare and play dates, luxury boarding suites and slumber parties, Florida only indoor off-leash dog play park, indoor agility center, many different types of training programs, self grooming, professional grooming, and get this.... a coffee bar and lounge with large screen TV and WiFi!!! Finally a place for us animal lovers to go with our dogs were heat, rain, dirt and bugs won't bother us or our dogs. Imagine sitting next to your dog on a couch enjoying a coffee with other people and their dogs too! This is genius!

Kudos to K9 Kampus for providing those of us who love to be with out dogs some place to hang out together. I can't wait for this place to open, I already pre-registered online at their website www.k9kampus.com and recieved a free day pass to the off-leash dog park!

In Response to Christopher E. My apologies for any inconvenience you have experienced. I will definitely speak to my staff about your experience. On the weekends although we offer daycare to our clients we are shorter staff because our operations are primarily for our borders. We require a certain number of employees on schedule to perform a temperament evalution and allow for this Monday thru Friday between 8:30am to 11am and we only allow for 5 new dogs per day. Our website states our temperament evaluation availability. We will make special exception for a saturday temperament evaluation only if scheduled in advance. We never do walk in temperament evaluations. Called several times no one picked up. I checked the website to make sure they were open. loaded my dog up and took him with all available paperwork. 9 people standing around doing nothing told me they couldn't do an eval on the weekend. If they had answered the 6 calls during open business hours to assist new customers we would have known in advanced. I have one day available every 3 weeks to drop my dog based on their tight hours of operation and to socialize my dog with others not at the dog park thanks for wasting an hour. all I can say is I wont go back and waste my time. The owners need to train their staff in customer service. If I ran my business like this one, I would have no clients.

I have been taking my puppy here for several weeks to get her socialized. The people are VERY good with the dogs and take good care of them. Would recommend them to all my friends with dogs.

We take our Buddy for daycare and have also boarded him. The gals are very nice and seem to have a good relationship with the dogs. Also seems secure, which is important as our little guy will run, if given the chance. Watch for the specials too.
