        Amazing fried chicken even for non-chicken lovers!!! We recently went to the Local for brunch. At first I was disappointed that the menu was rather small and only included a couple breakfast options, so I got the salad. (it’s more of a lunch place than breakfast place). The salad was good. But then I tried some of my husband’s fried chicken and French toast---it was AMAZING. I’m not even a chicken fan, and I loved it! The atmosphere is very charming; it fits in perfectly with the quaintness of the Square. Oh and the service was very attentive. It was crowded, but the staff made sure everyone's needs were met.

        The Marietta Local is an American-Southern restaurant located on Historic Marietta Square. All menu items are made-to-order with the freshest ingredients available on the local market. Everything is FRESH, never frozen. During our first year of operation, we received the Taste of Marietta's "Big Chicken" Award recognizing our fried chicken as the best in Marietta. Our owner, Jim Tidwell, has lived in the Marietta area for more than 25 years. Jim, being the family man he is, saw a need for a restaurant that was family-friendly, but also served incredible food and represented the historic nature of the city. The Marietta Local was born.
