Reading Rainbow Premier Babysitting Service is a unique in-home childcare solution that offers a safe and fun play space that is available without reservations so you can drop in anytime throughout the day that you need childcare. We offer both flexibility and peace of mind for parents while promoting social, motor, and sensory skills for children. We have free play as well as a scheduled day full of activities for children 6 mos to 12 years of age. We understand what parents want when someone is caring for their child because we ARE parents as well. We launched Reading Rainbow to create the educational yet fun environment we would want our own children to experience. We know what its like to be pressed for time and staring at a list of baby-sitter phone numbers. Our parents love the drop-in concept because it works for them, their kids, and their schedules. On top of that we've run the business model through our parent filter to make sure all aspects of child well-being, safety and development are guiding everything we do. Children may attend Reading Rainbow on a drop-in basis or a weekly basis during our normal business hours. Amenities

Toddlers are encouraged to explore the environment on an individual basis. Developmental processes vary widely from child to child. It is important that children are not pushed or held back as they play and work to develop their own unique behaviors and skills. During their stay children have two play rooms in which they are encouraged to learn to share, to respect others, to solve problems on their own and to practice self-help skills. The Learning Centers in the play rooms offer space and materials for children to play, discover and learn. These Centers include: Music and Movement Dramatic Play Manipulative and Math Science and Sensory Language and Writing Blocks and Building Arts and Crafts Our activities allows for child-directed, hands-on activities. Children experience opportunities to develop confidence and self esteem as they practice making their own decisions. After School (coming August 2011) We are excited to announce that we are developing an After School Program here at Reading Rainbow. Our program will offer a “home away from home” for children to relax, complete homework, enjoy snacks and to participate in specially planned activities. Nutritious dinners will be served to children present at dinner time. More details regarding the After School program will be given over the Summer 2011.
