Addison Elementary School, located in Marietta, Ga., is a part of the Cobb County School District. Founded in 1913, it enrolls more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes English, mathematics, science and social studies. Addison Elementary School additionally conducts classes in art, music, and technology and physical education. It has a media center that stocks a collection of books, encyclopedias, magazines, newspapers, catalogs and reference materials. The school s parent-teacher association organizes a range of fundraising events. In addition, Addison Elementary School has a computer laboratory where students create multimedia presentations and graphs, learn to surf the Internet and develop keyboarding skills.
