NTB-National Tire & Battery

I went in to have 4 tires replaced. There was an ad for Cooper tires. Buy 3 and get 1 free. The tires sold for $129. a piece in the ad. I know that there's a fee for disposal, balance, and valve stem plus tax. There is no way that the bill should have been $856. Thank God I grabbed my keys before they could put it in the shop.

Do NOT go here! WARNING! STAY AWAY! After being assured that their best tire installer was on the job, and after over 2 hours of watching him, and 2 additional techs struggle to get a 315/35/17 on a 9x17 aluminum wheel, they gave up (their last roll of the dice was spraying ether starting fluid in my tire which only set it on fire-that tech has been terminated). So when I washed my car a few days later I noticed significant light scuffs in the clearcoat on the wheel that these incapable troglodites tried to put a tire on. Stephen, the "manager" said that I would have to show him the damage in person, so I went there and showed him. His lame, pathetic response was that the company that installed the tires after I left NTB could have caused the damage. (Yeah, right. I'm sure that the shop whose PROFESSIONAL techs mounted ALL 4 tires on all 4 wheels in a matter of minutes vs struggled unsuccessfully for 2 hours and 15 minutes until they finally gave up...yeah they are to blame...lol.) Funny how none of the other 3 wheels that NTB didn't touch are perfect, and only the wheel that NTB wrestled with is scuffed. What a waste of time going to see Stephen. He knew the whole story, saw the security camera video, and I'm sure had no intention of accepting responsibility, but told me to come in anyway. I have left a message for Derrick, the District Manager, but I haven't heard back yet. I will see them in small claims court if they don't make this right.
I brought the same wheels and tires to Goodyear on Northshore Blvd by Northshore Square mall and they did a great job of installing and balancing my wheels and tires. Too bad NTB. FAIL!!
