This is a family owned place that is just a tad bit chaotic and understaffed. If you go there knowing that and bring a little bit of patience and chill, the food is totally worth the wait. Unfortunately, many mandeville women have their heads so far up their own behinds its hard to see much else.

I dont' know about service being bad or good, but I love the food. Especially the Mushroom Burger!

I dined in for lunch one day with a few friends. I ordered a salad. I ate a few bites and realized a lady bug in my salad. When confronting the waitress she said, "ya that happens sometimes". All she offered to do for me was give me a new salad! Then, this past Thanksiving my mother and mother-in-law both decided to order a dish from there. My mom ordered a coconut cake. They called her and said it was ready. She was there to pick it up within about an hour. She got there and found that they cut the cake (she already paid for it) and were serving it to other customers. All they offered to her was a chocolate cake. If we wanted choc. cake we would have ordered it in the first place! My mother-in-law ordered a salad, despite the lady bug incident. She pre-paid for a large tray. She got there and the girl behind the counter said they had no record of her or her order. All the offered to do was give her a small tray.... Thanksgiving was a partial disaster thanks to that restaurant. Never again will I or my family go back there.

I have visited this establishment on a few occasions. Each time the food was great. Unfortunately, each time I stayed to eat the service was less than great. We ordered a sandwich with no cheese (my friend is allergic) and it came with cheese. Accidents happen, yes, but when the "waitress" was confronted with the problem she said we should have ordered with no cheese (and we did), then made it seem like a small hassle to have the situation remedied. On both occasions that we dined in we were not given silverware when our food was delivered. Will I visit this place again? For take out, definitely... for dine in, not likely.
