Never hire this guy again. I had very similar experience to IowaKing. I called him and asked to cut the shrubs and extra branches on small trees. He sent couple of guys to mow my lawn. I have my own lawn mower and it takes me 10 minutes to mow my lawn. I don't why he thought I asked him to mow my lawn. He then sents me a bill for $80. I didn't know they did something until I saw the bill. I tried to explain him that I didn't want lawn mowing but getting rid of all the shrubs. He was not even listening and he was saying he will put my house on lean if I don't pay that money (I could not resist myself to laughing:) ).

Now you judge whether you would really hire someone like this.

According to the news story George is a criminal with a "checkered history".



George has listed his business by minor variations in the name and address on search directories such as Yelp and Yellow pages which makes it difficult for consumers to find ALL the authentic reviews for this service. He creates a new profile each time someone adds a true review of his criminal behavior. He had even mailed me photo copies of allegedly hand written notes with good reviews and guess what, I tried to contact a couple and they were fake people!



If you read all the correct reviews you will notice a common theme. He will send his guys to carry out work that you did not ask him to do or at the most had simply asked a quote for. Then he will bill you. He will not acknowledge your messages to stop or cancel service. Sometimes he will even bill you for work not done. For instance, he will cut your lawn twice a month, knowing that you would be fine with that because that is what you had asked for because you would like to cut it yourself every other week, then he will bill you for cutting it once a week, you will not be able to get a hold of him on the phone (he uses an answering service and NEVER returns the call unless you are a first time caller and he wants to hook you in), and when you do not pay his bill he will call you, abuse you and threaten you with a lawyer. My experience with him was of asking for a price list and then getting a bill for 4 weeks of NO services performed and getting abused by him on the phone.



If you do call him to get information, do not give him your address or expect to receive bills for service not just done poorly but not done at all. I know, it sounds pretty crazy and you are probably asking yourself, why would a businessman do that. I don't know. This guy genuinely is crazy and a nuisance.

Prior to calling Landscapes by George I canvassed the yellow pages for landscapers in the area, and received a multitude of opinions and estimates. The reason I decided on George was simple, he listened to the concerns of my wife and I and assured us that he would address them. After contracting with the company George and his crew showed up at my home on the scheduled date and began the arduous task of removing my existing lawn by wheelbarrow and 50 gallon containers. The crew of six individuals worked quietly and diligently over a two day period, and produced results beyond our expectations. I would recommend without hesitation Landscapes by George to anyone looking to enhance the landscaping of their property.

We were very pleased with the new driveway. Your men did a wonderful job. We are the envy of the neighborhood. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

George's men were polite and very knowledgeable about their work. The job was completed in a timely manner and they did a terrific job. We were pleased with our new fence and patio. We would recommend them to anyone that has yard work.
