Business Transactions
At The Law Offices of Scott Stone PLLC, located in East Rockaway, Scott Stone maintains a general practice, a substantial portion of which involves business transactions and corporate representation, commercial landlord/tenant work (usually landlord representation), real estate and tax certiorari. He also serves as Special Counsel to the City of Glen Cove and the Incorporated Village of Farmingdale for Tax Certiorari. He earned his law degree from Hofstra Law School. He lives with his wife, Elyse, and their two young daughters, Maya and Dana, in Bellmore, New York.
Limited Liability Companies
For more than 20 years, Scott has served as an attorney and General Counsel to Unified Window Systems, Inc. He has also represented many other corporations, not-for-profit corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and other business entities related to the formation, transactions and legal representation required in their normal operation in the State of New York.

Employment Contract

Landlord-Tenant Disputes
With extensive experience in landlord tenant court, Scott Stone represents both landlords and tenants in summary proceedings, which are also known as eviction proceedings. In addition to the pre-court notification letters required to initiate an eviction, Scott handles all aspects of the proceeding, including the court action and appearances, negotiations with the other party, preparation and implementation of any settlement agreement and all communication with the Sheriff to carry out the eviction, if necessary.

Personal Injury
In addition to the areas of legal practice more fully delineated elsewhere in this website, Scott has also represented clients in such matters as matrimonial and family law, personal injury litigation, United States Bankruptcy Court proceedings and mortgage modifications, among others. Scott also serves as a Referee for the New York State Supreme Court, Nassau County, in certain foreclosure matters.
