From The Vault

Very disappointing. I had a custom ring made at From the Vault. I had it made from a sapphire and diamond necklace that my husband gave me years ago. I provided From the Vault the sapphires, diamonds and some gold from the necklace. The ring cost a little more than $1500 to create. At first, I was honestly OK with the expense. The ring was beautiful.



However, in less than 6 weeks a prong on the ring failed and I lost a sapphire. I returned the ring to From the Vault for a repair estimate. No one called with an estimate. I received a call that the repair was complete. I stated that no one had called me with an estimated cost, I was told sorry. I was told the cost would be $100 plus tax. When I questioned that the ring was recently designed and should not have broken, I was told that a broken prong meant impact had occurred. No offer of price negotiation or any fault potential from the ring design. I now have a beautiful, expensive, custom ring that I am afraid to wear.

I was new to Louisville and looking for a place to buy my wife a right hand ring we noticed many of the women in Kentucky wearing. The catch was I already had a ring with diamonds I wanted to modify for the task. Shelia worked with us to add a beautiful citrine in the exact setting my wife found a photo of on the internet. We love the finished product, definitely the place to go for custom work! Then when we went to pick up the ring we saw a beautiful Murano glass bracelet we ended up buying for my mother-in-law. Their selection of unique items is better than your average chain store! The best part is you get great custom work, awesome unique selection, and outstanding customer service for less than I expected! This is the only time I have gone into a jewelry store and been shocked at the prices in the opposite direction! I don't even bother trying to negotiate, they're that good! I know I must sound like a paid actor but I have no affiliation with the store other than being a very happy customer, there's no reason to shop anywhere else!

Definitely worth a look if you're looking for something different. I found a Fredric necklace for $311 and get compliments on it all the time. When you go, ask for Sheila (the owner), she's the most knowledgeable. And she'll tell you the truth.
