Badgett Constructors portfolio of clients includes Kroger, Wal-Mart, Winn-Dixie, Shell, Ford Motor Company, Pillsbury, UPS and the Floyd Memorial Hospital. The company is a general contracting company that specializes in industrial, commercial and manufacturing construction. Based in Louisville, Ky., Badgett Constructors primarily works in Kentucky and southern Indiana. The company constructs commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. Badgett Constructors also remodels existing buildings. In addition to maintaining a large staff of craftsmen, cabinet makers, welders, carpenters, concrete placers and plasterers, Badgett also sub-contracts work to trusted plumbers, electricians and other specialized licensed tradesmen. Under its current ownership and management, Badgett has been in operation since 1970. However, its roots date back to World War II when the company originated as Stoner Construction.
