This Company deserves zero stars.. They shouldn't even be in business. They posted apartments that had really great deals... but then the next day they'll post the same apartment for $50 more... WTF. I'm not sure if that is called bait and switch but you are getting people to come in thinking that the rent is 800 and then it's actually 850 but that is besides the point. They took my boyfriend and my application fee and ran the credit... We knew that our credit is not great so we told them in advanced, "hey please call us, we know our credit isn't great, but we have a co signer. We are really interested in this apartment." Mind you we got there right when their office opened so no one had put in their application yet. My boyfriend and I called seriously every hour to see if we could talk to Brian and Monica... no answer until like 3pm Monica said she would call me back... nothing... I called her again at 3:30pm... she said she would call me back again... Nothing until 7pm... when I called her AGAIN! then she was like oh the apartment is already rented... LIKE WTF! Seriously... what happened to you calling me back? Anyway.. so when we tried to explain to her that we should have had the opportunity to at least come in an give a co-signer, she was like I can't talk, I'm at a dodgers game... WOW... so I called Brian and he was well you're credit isn't great but come in tomorrow and we can talk about another apt... We were desperate to find an apt... so i was like fine. So I called in the morning he didn't get to the office until 12pm.... and he starts going off like well this and this and this is wrong with your credit... and we tried to explain again but then he was like well good luck finding apartment and hung up.... meanwhile... we paid a $50 application fee for the both of us...



I'm glad we didn't rent from them, they were so unresponsive while we were trying to give them business.... think about if they already have you stuck in a contract and you needed anything fixed....

R&E MANAGEMENT FAILED TO RETURN MY RENTAL DEPOSIT WITHIN PERIOD REQUIRED BY CA LAW

It's been over 30 days and R&E Mgmt has failed to return my deposit for my apartment I rented from them. I have called them several times and they keep telling me to call back so I'm going to have to file in small claims court. The apartment was left in perfect condition and there were no issues.

This company scams tenants! My neighbor who has been living in a building for 40 years, owned by this company, has been harassed and threatened. Her electricity, water and gas have all been tapped and connected on by the whole building causing her bills to be 3-4 times higher than usual. Safety regulations for this building have been neglected until the company was approached by a community group to fix the building. My neighbor has been threatened to move out so the company can raise the rent on her unit to match the rest of the building. These are tiny 2 bedroom units that are not worth the $2000 that is being asked for rent. R & E has no comment. Stay away from working with this company!
