Sparkling Pools & Spas

We had sparkling pools come out and clean our pool. This company did come out and clean our pool and then we asked them to clean our filter. Everything was fine and they came out to clean our filter. The pool associate claims they finished cleaning the filter and as they were walking to their car they heard a loud pop and when they went back our filter lid had broke. The called us to let us know what had happened and claims this was not a service error but a machine error. The owner then process to tell us that our filter is just old and we would need to replace it. That did not work for me. You came to my house to clean my filter and when the filter was in your care it broke. That makes you responsible for that filter. We just bought our house and had a full inspection on our pool and everything was fine. The owner was not able to fix our filter and then tells us the only thing he can do is replace the filter and give us a discount which we could pay out. His discount offer is $1000. I'm not sure who feels that is a discount when this company broke my filter. After speaking with the owner about this we agree that he will comp the work he did which is a joke and we will just replace the filter. Now a week later he is billing me for cleaning my pool. This has to be a joke I'm thinking to myself. You broke my filter which caused my pool to become filthy and I had to spend hundred of dollars more on a new filter and a different company to come out and clean my pool and now you have the balls to ask for money? Please don't use this company. It’s horrible and the owner knows nothing about customer service. When you break something you replace it. You don’t blame it on the equipment and then tell the customer its not your companies fault. Take it from someone who trusted him with their pool and end up paying $800 for a new filter instead of $100's for a cleaning. I’m sure they have done fine on other pools but would you risk this happening to you when there are better companies out there.
