Teeth Cleaning
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months, even during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.

Crowns
The MARA appliance is anchored to the molars with crowns, modified crowns, or bands. The lower attachments are fixed to the molars. The upper attachments are removable to enable your orthodontist to make adjustments according to your treatment plan.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
Most children lose all their baby teeth by age 13, and by the end of their teen years, the jaw bones will harden and stop growing. Orthodontic procedures for adults often take more time and can involve tooth extraction or oral surgery. Katy was born in San Diego, California but grew up in Topeka, Kansas where she graduated from Washburn Rural High School. Katy has been working in the dental field for 15 years with experience in dental laboratory, general dentistry and pediatric dentistry. Katy is a clinical assistant as well as our lab technician. She lives in McLouth, Kansas and enjoys spending time with her daughter Cecily, craft days and motorcycle adventures with her boyfriend, Jake.
