Elder Hostess in charge was rude! Told us 45 minute wait. Many people she called left. In between tables were unoccupied and cleaned for long periods of time. When I went to ask her where we were on the list, she yelled so loud her black bow almost leaped off her bleach blonde head, "There's 15 PEOPLE AHEAD OF YOU!" and "THERE'S NO ROOM FOR YOU TO EAT AT THE BAR! The BAR RUNG IS FULL!" Needles to say, we were leaving after an hour & 11 minutes. And wouldn't you know it...she called our table as we walked by...with a Grinch-like smile..... I've been here before & never received such dissatisfactory service.

Lot's of Good Food for Little Money

I love this place and it's the best Mexican restaurant in that Michigan that I have ever been too! You get a lot of food (FRESH FOOD) always hot for cheap. I guarantee you will need a to go box! Everyone I take there they get hooked! It is a great atmosphere and the servers are nice. If you drink don't ever order a Purple Rain! Even manager Melvin agrees! Every time I go in he catches me and says no purple rain today? Yeah it gets crowded, not a lot of room for people to wait but that must say something right? I promise when you get your food you will be overwhelmed at the quantity and then you take a bite and you know your in a good place! Make sure you say hi to Melvin! Best Waiter/Manager I have ever witnessed. If you don't like it go somewhere else! Just means you don't know what real mexican food taste like! Maybe you should just go to Taco Bell!

They have the very best Mexican food around, but you usually have to wait quite awhile for a table. Worth the wait.

Not for me

SC used to be one of my favorite mexican restaurants but after one particular incident things changed for me. It was my daughters 14th birthday and she wanted to go with a couple of friends to celebrate at SC. Everything was going just fine, the kids had some soup which is very good, and mom and dad were enjoying magaritas, it was a good night. Then the entree's were arriving at the table things still looked great.

One of my favorite items at SC is the chicken Flautas, delicious. This night for whatever reasons they were dry, very dry, sawdust dry!. I mentioned this to the waitress thinking she might just remove it and bring me another one. Instead of a simple solution to a small problem, she gets the floor manager. He comes over to the table and asked what the problem was, and I told him my flautas were pretty dry and I would like to get another plate of them. He looked at the food in question, then he pulls an ink pen from his pocket and sticks the end of it in my plate and proceeded to roll the flautas around on the plate with the tip of his pen(in a very crowded restaurant on my duaghters b-day)like a kindergardner finger painting, he then look up at me and said it looks OK to me.

I could hardly believe what had just happened. Instead of making things worse I decided to finnish my dinner pay the bill and go home.

The next day my wife called to tell of this experience to one of the owners, the manager said one of the brothers would call her back, and he did. we were'nt home when the call came in so I called back a couple of days later. I shared the experience with the owner and he said he heard about the incident but he did'nt know who the pen-man was and suggested it must have been a customer not anyone who actually worked SC.

I trully was not looking to hold him up, after all it was one of my best liked restaurants, but I didn't even get an apology. and for this reason I will never visit Sagebrush Cantina again. I know it's not going to bankrupt them, but we averaged tweleve visits a year, $100 per visit, up to that incident and before they burnt down. And while they were rebuilding we drove to the Lake Fenton location.

Maybe they should their managers or should I say their customer alittle better.

Sagebrush, your food is good but! no food is worth that kind of an insult.
