Overall
Highly recommend franks!

My family and I have been going to franks for many years now and I couldn't be happier with the work he's done! He's honest and he will never tell you something needs to be replaced if it really doesn't. I would highly recommend him and we'd would never go anywhere else!

Overall

Long story short: do not go here, Frank is a scam artist. I am not one to give awful reviews because I am a pretty reasonable person and understand honest mistakes or secondary issues that need to be fixed in relation to the major car repair happen. I grew up in an automotive family so I know how things work…..but this guy is not professional and if you want to get a job done right, do NOT go here.

Long story: DO NOT go here for service. My check engine light came on and a friend recommended this repair shop. Frank said it was either my catalytic converter or my IO sensor... but didn't know which one. This should have been my first clue because the computer within my car that sets off the check engine light should have given him a code to say which one it was. Anyways, Frank recommended I replaced the catalytic converter and I went along with his recommendation as my friend had stated he does a great job. A month later the check engine light came on again. I brought it back and he said I needed to replace my IO sensor... Reluctantly I did that too because Frank said that sometimes that is a result of driving without a properly functioning catalytic converter. Three months later the engine light came on AGAIN and I brought it to Frank only to tell me everything was fine ( I think he just turned the engine light off because a month or so later it came on again!) I brought my car to another shop which said it was my catalytic converter and I said that I just had it replaced less than 6 months ago the new shop stated that Frank probably put a bad part in my car. I brought it back to Frank so he could rectify the situation because I thought perhaps he didn’t know it was a bad part, I ended up paying for some service that was supposed to fix the problem and cost me 224 bucks (so at this point I’ve spent almost $1000 repairing my catalytic converter that was repaired in May and it is now the middle of January NOT EVEN ONE FULL YEAR) Now it is the middle of October 10 months from my last repair and I have to replace my catalytic converter AGAIN. Needless to say I’m not bringing it back to Frank’s Automotive.
