Asked to be seated for a particular person to cook hibachi for us cause we always go to one person and we were ignored and sat in someone else's cooking area. Or hibachi items were not cooked long enough so we were served raw seafood. When I asked for a manager they send out another waiter claiming he will one day be a manager. Told him of the problem and that I had eaten some of the food before I noticed it was raw all he did was take the items that were cooked raw off the ticket and still I never got to talk to a manager. I have been up all night with diarrhea and throwing up due to the food that I ate that wasn't properly cooked. Definitely the worst experience I have had here.

Horrible management just found out the servers make 2:13 an hour and don't get the entire tip you leave the unless it's in cash includes hibachi a and they tip out at the end of the night

We called several days in advance to make sure we had a room with a large tablet to seat 20-24 people for my brother's surprise birthday. When we got there and told them about a reservation we were told they don't take them. WTF?? Trying to talk to the Japanese (assuming) hostess was a chore in itself with broken English. We got lucky and they had a large room available, though the hostess had enough nerve to say we had to be out of the room in an hour!! WTF x2?? Not only that she tells us we have an hour, yet tells us that started at 6:30 when the reservation (which they said they don't do) was made!! This is after the 20min (so now we have 40min to eat) took up a lot of time trying to speak to her and the birthday boy was fixing to walk thru the door. At this point no one was even seated yet when he arrived, big surprise. Thanks Kyoto's for ruining it! We had 24 people around the table, giving us 40 min to eat and get out of there is total BS. Lucky for us, once we are seated we were in no hurry to leave considering by the hour mark we still hadn't even finished getting our food....no biggie they had to serve 24 people so it's definitely understood. For the following hour, that lady would walk by our room every 5-10 minutes giving all of us the "evil eye". Great food, but her antics are totally uncalled for. We will never go back there for any large group.

Even my kids love this place. When given the choice of where to eat when in Lake Charles, it's Kyoto's, hands down. They have the best food and their hospitality is unmatched. Definitely a memorable experience every time we go!

ii will always recommend this place, kyoto. i was blown away by the service, atmosphere, great,great food, mouthwatering steak and sides. very good experience.
