Greg Tilleys of Lafayette has changed to timberline homes don’t let the name change fool you they are a bunch of crooks there. Thought buying a home would be great wrong bought a southern estate home there and nothing but problems. No ac in half the house floors are giving away when you walk on them over thirteen cracks in walls doors leak had them work on everything over five times no luck still problems they take your money and screw you

Buying a home for the first time should have been the most exciting time in me and my husband’s life’s, but it was one of the worst experiences of our life’s when dealing with Greg Tilley’s in Lake Charles (Moss Bluff). The general salesman is the most deceitful, unprofessional, and inexperienced general salesman we have ever done business with. The general salesman ran nine hard inquiries on our credit; to make sure we couldn't go to another dealership. The general salesman promised to install a microwave in our new mobile home and backed out in the end. He did document the microwave and I have that copy. One of the salesmen told me on the phone before coming in that the mobile home on the lot would be $1,000 less than ordering one. Then when I went in, another salesman told me that corporate don‘t allow them to decrease the sales price on their mobile homes. The general salesman knew from day one that we wanted our septic included in our loan, and didn't add it. All dealerships know that mortgage companies won’t finance septic systems, so they increase the sales price and the customer gets their septic added to the loan. The general salesman told us we never told him and when we faxed documentation from day one written down by himself with septic listed, he changed his story by telling us that there is a formula that he does before sending off the application and that told him we were not approved for that amount. Last I recall salesman don’t make the decision to approve or deny a loan, the loan officer of the mortgage company makes that decision. When asked if he could come down $1,000 on the mobile home since he messed up, the general salesman told us no because the dealership already did us a favor by paying for our skirting. I called the loan officer and he did confirm that our skirting was in our loan, so that means we paid for our skirting, not the dealership. We had to come up with $3,000 at Christmas time because of the general salesman’s mistake. I called Greg Tilley's in Bossier City and spoke to Kevin. Kevin told me that Greg Tilley's doesn't have a corporate office and that Greg Tilley's does go down on mobile homes that are bought off the lot because the mobile home sales price were decreased on his lot. I left my number for Greg Tilley to call me back and I am still patiently waiting after a month.

After six weeks of patiently waiting, our mobile home arrived with damages because Greg Tilley's movers did not mat our ditch when moving the mobile home in, so we had broken pipes and a toilet that was knocked out of the floor. I have video of the movers dragging the bottom of my mobile home through the ditch and rocking my mobile home back and forth. My yard is still has trash throughout it and a pile of trash because the movers never picked their trash up.

I thought I was getting a new mobile home, but there were an ample number of problems including five doors that didn't shut, broken faucets, our shower having two unsealed areas where water gushed out the bottom resulting in our bathroom being flooded along with our carpet in our bedroom, cracks in our ceilings and walls, and our tub leaking underneath it, that could have resulted in rotting underneath if I didn't detect it (just to name a few). The general salesman is advising my family to move in with all of these problems. Also, the general salesman told my husband that Greg Tilley’s can’t fix some of the damages, and that we would have to contact the manufacturer. It has been a month since our mobile home has been delivered and only half of the problems have been fixed. I had a lot more deception to write about by this dealership, but this site only allows me 4,000 characters. With all of this being said, I pray that I can spare new mobile home buyers the financial and emotional hardship that my family endured with Greg Tilley's in Lake Charles (Moss Bluff).

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, THEY SELL CHEAP MOBILE HOMES THAT FALL APART WITHIN A YEAR! I LIVED IN A 20 YEAR OLD TRAILER BEFORE THIS THAT WAS IN BETTER SHAPE THAN MY NEW HOME AFTER ONLY 1 YEAR! RIP-OFF RIP-OFF RIP-OFF! YOU WILL REGRET IT! IF i COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD!!

If I could give a -5 stars I would. This place pressured us and when I called them and decided NOT to go with their mobile homes...they ran my credit anyways with 16 hard inquiries. When I called them a second time and send why they ran my credit they claimed we NEVER SPOKE ABOUT NOT RUNNING MY CREDIT. They pointed out that I signed an "intent to buy" which gave them authority to run my credit. So I guess that was my bust for not reading the fine print and feeling pressured to buy. Shame on me. However I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies. They prey upon young people trying to get their life started...STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS

Mother bought a home from them and builders done a horrible job building home. We put jets in her tub for her back and when she got into the home tub leaked and jets didn't work. It took them 3weeks to see about this problem. Her dishwasher dosent work and these people still didn't see about it. Home was rushed fixtures are crooked all over home. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Worse place in Lafayette area.
