Reviews
Take my review with a grain of salt, I've never ate Indian food before (that I'm aware of). I wanted to check the lunch buffet out, but I'm never in town that early in the day, so we got dinner instead. The appetizer was really good, no idea what it is but we both liked it. Our server was excellent, he kept an eye on us and kept our drinks filled, with one exception: he couldn't really tell us about the menu other then if it was vegatarian, chicken, lamb, ect... so I tried I think a lamb kabob and I forgot what the girlfriend got other then some type of chicken. Neither of us had a clue what we were eating or how to eat it. Everybody that worked there seemed polite and friendly. We were there on a Saturday night and there might have been 10 customers (including us) in there, total. We'll likely go back after a little research into Indian food to figure out what we might actually like. I can't honestly say if it were good or bad, it was different for us.
This place don't look like much on the outside, but it was clean inside with nice tablecloths and dishes, and again, the staff was friendly and took care of us.
Glad we didnt think to check this out beforehand as it might have persuaded us
I Love Sitar! It's good Indian food. Dinner was delicious, but on the lunch buffet you get to try many things. Run, don't walk to this place.

Provided by SuperpagesI am Indian, My name is Ashish Pandey, I am Basically from Mumbai ,india and I regularly have Indian food outside. I've been to other Indian restaurants in the area and had a decent experience ,I wanted the best Indian food for my wedding because my Wife's parents are from India and we picked in this Indian Restaurant in down town because we have tried many Indian restaurants and we found this restaurant to be the best amongst the lot. The on site tandoor with exceptional decoration and live sitar and tabla music and buffet setup we loved it all. When we went to the restaurant to settle the bill we were asked to share our experience with others and I thought of writting on the net. I can not thank anymore when I told the owners to give special attantion because I want my mother in law to be impressed and she was really impressed and I am glad we picked this indian restaurant to cater the wedding. The customer service was great.
This is my favorite restaurant! Since I live about 1.5 hours of Knoxville, I have to invent reasons to come into the city. I really appreciate the fact that they also have the buffet on the weekends. I also enjoy the evening menu, but the buffet is my absolute favorite!
