Amber Inn & Suites

Do not stay at this hotel !! worst hotel ever !! rooms were nasty !! I would like to inform you of the Fraud issues that I experienced at the hotel that I booked through expedia.com. The name of the hotel is Amber Inn & Suites in Kissimeee. I booked the hotel Thursday (7.23), and checked out Friday (7.24). The front desk charged me $125.00 deposit, which was supposed to be refunded to me within 2-4 business days. I called the whole week of (7.27) - (7.31), and every day they kept telling me that it had already been released, one person even told me it had been released at 2:00 AM on Friday (7.24), even before I checked out, which seemed a little bit odd to me, and then the next day I called and they told me to call my back and see if there is anything in pending status. I called my bank and they did not see anything. Finally Friday (7.31) I called again and ask if they could look into some more, because i have yet to receive my deposit, they got back on the phone and told me that I would NOT be getting my deposit back, because the manager found illegal white substance in the room, that it was all over the room. This completely took me by surprise, because first of all, i do not do any drugs, second, why is this being told to me now? when i called the whole week to see where my deposit was, and they even said that they already released it... you can't release a deposit and then take it back, third, if I did drugs, why would I leave my drugs every where ? fourth, they told me that as soon I left, the general manager went into our room to clean and thats who took the pictures. That is FALSE, i clocked out at 10:45 AM, and returned back to the hotel around 11:35 AM, because i had left my cell phone in the room, the room was in the SAME condition that i left it. Also, why is the GENERAL MANAGER performing house keeping duties?. When they told me that they found illegal things in my room, i told them to prove it, they said they had pictures that they could send me, I gave them my email and they were supposed to email them to me, and they never did, I called back to see where the pictures were, because I had not received them yet, they then told me that they do not have to send them to me, they are personal property to the hotel. I contacted the police about this and they are doing an investigation.
