Medical Weight Loss
Adults should be physically active for at least 30 minutes most days of the week, children for 60 minutes. Sixty to 90 minutes of daily physical activity may be needed to prevent weight gain or sustain weight loss.
Primary Care
We are a cardiology subspecialty clinic for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions of the heart and vascular systems. Issues regarding your general medical care not related to your cardiology diagnosis should be addressed by your primary care provider.

Family Practice
She began her nurse practitioner career working in a family practice in Magee. Leslie has worked at Jackson Heart Clinic since 2011 as a hospital nurse practitioner.
Emergency Care
Leslie is a Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Academy Nurse practitioner and licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Nursing. She grew-up in Magee, Mississippi. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing that she received in 2005 from William Carey College. She then received a Master of Science in Nursing from the Mississippi University for Women in 2010 and graduated summa cum laude. Her nursing career began in the emergency room at St. Dominic’s Hospital. Having a strong desire to work more closely with cardiac patients she then transferred to the cardiac care unit within St. Dominic’s Hospital.
Electrocardiogram
Holter monitoring is usually conducted over a 24-hour period while the patient goes about his or her usual daily activities. It is a continuous recording of the electrocardiogram, which is useful for detecting arrhythmias that may not appear during a resting electrocardiogram.
Immunizations
Proof of Immunization. We will disclose proof of immunization to a school that is required to have it before admitting a student where you have agreed to the disclosure on behalf of yourself or your dependent.

Internal Medicine
Summer is a family nurse practitioner, board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a native of Brandon, Mississippi and attended Jackson Preparatory School. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2010 and later received a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2014, where she graduated on the President’s List with honors. Summer worked as a registered nurse at St. Dominic’s on the orthopedic floor for five years before she accepted a job as a nurse practitioner for St. Dominic’s Hospital in internal medicine, where she has spent the last three years helping manage acute and chronic medical conditions in the hospital with an emphasis on preventative care. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and was awarded the Provider Champion Award for diabetes management from St. Dominic’s Hospital in 2016. Summer resides in Brandon with her husband and daughter. She is a member of Pinelake Church and enjoys traveling and hiking in her spare time.

Right to Inspect and Copy. You have the right to inspect and copy your health information, with limited exceptions. To access your medical information, you must submit a written request detailing what information you want access to, whether you want to inspect it or get a copy of it, and if you want a copy, your preferred form and format. We will provide copies in your requested form and format if it is readily producible, or we will provide you with an alternative format you find acceptable, or if we can’t agree and we maintain the record in an electronic format, your choice of a readable electronic or hardcopy format. We will also send a copy to any other person you designate in writing. We will charge a reasonable fee which covers our costs for labor, supplies, postage, and if requested and agreed to in advance, the cost of preparing an explanation or summary. We may deny your request under limited circumstances. If we deny your request to access your child's records or the records of an incapacitated adult you are representing because we believe allowing access would be reasonably likely to cause substantial harm to the patient, you will have a right to appeal our decision. If we deny your request to access your psychotherapy notes, you will have the right to have them transferred to another mental health professional.

Ultrasound
This is an ultrasound test that sends sound waves into the chest to rebound from the heart's walls and valves. The recorded waves show the shape, texture and movement of the valves on an echocardiogram. They also show the size of the heart chambers and how well they're working.
