The Inkster Fire Department offers a range of fire safety programs and services for residential and commercial properties. It consists of more than 20 uniformed and civilian personnel. The department provides fire inspection, emergency assistance and medical services. It responds to over 4,200 service requests annually. The department manages a staff of sergeants, firefighters, fire inspectors, trainers and public relations officers. It maintains an engine, aerial and emergency medical services unit. The department has an emergency warning system with remote siren sites. The Inkster Fire Department is a part of the City of Inkster, Mich., which operates through police, public services and risk management departments.
