My husband and I gave Clarence (owner) as much benefit of the doubt since day one, and we were met with the most unprofessional and slow service I've ever received. Upon the initial consultation appointment, I paid outright the cost for services and parts needed for the repair and scheduled a day and time for Clarence to come out for the repair. Since then it took nearly a month for him to come out and finally fix our fridge. In that month time frame, he rescheduled on me twice which I was very accommodating due to his reasoning of having a busy schedule (blaming it on the Nov8 Election...?!?!). When he finally arrived to do our repair, he gave us an excuse and a sob story about how he had been sick. We gave him the benefit of the doubt then as well even though his reasoning for rescheduling on us twice was due to having other appointments. So which is it? You're too sick or you double booked us and didn't manage your time very well? After fixing our cooling fan in the fridge, I realized he had not brought the plastic bins for our freezer that we already paid for. I contacted him and he said that he had forgotten to order them. I gave him another month to do this and followed up with him almost once a week to check on the ETA on when those bins were getting here. Each time he said he would let me know when he would find out when they shipped but there has not been a time, not even ONCE that he reached out to me first. Naturally, I'm fed up by this point because its almost Christmas and I reached out for his services in OCTOBER. Instead of acknowledging and addressing my concerns that I still have no freezer bins that I already PAID for, he whines about how I gave him a negative review. My husband called him over the phone and again, he will not address the fact that we have paid for a product and service that still have not been completed. Instead, he continues to throw a tantrum like a two year old repeating himself over and over that he had fixed our fridge. My husband had to hang up on him because he's never had such an immature conversation with a 60yr old grown man. Needless to say we are in the process of disputing our charges until we see a refund for the product/service we didn't receive. I feel scammed and am totally appalled by this so-called professional's behavior. Because of Clarence and his POOR customer service skills, I will never be using Thumbtack again to find services from independent contractors.

I first got in contact to Clarence through Thumbtack. He arrived and after checking my washer told me that the drain pump needed to be replaced and would be a $260 job. We explained that we were moving later the following month and didn't want to invest that much money on it. He made an offer of fixing the product for $260 and would return to purchase the washer and dryer from us for $400
Nov. 1st - He told me he was sick and would not be able to do it until the 10th
Nov. 10th - Clarence explained he was still sick and could not pickup the washer and dyer until the 14th
Nov. 14th - Clarence explained that two workers had called off sick and our washer and dryer could not be picked up. We were approaching our move out deadline. He said he was "100% guaranteed we can take care of it on Wednesday." Offered he could bring the money to us then leave him with our key to our apartment...
Nov. 16th - "Apparently my guys are suck trying to finish up a job and I do not have the manpower to pick them up." He offered to pick them up in the PM time. Didn't show. My bf called him, "I'm a man of my word, I can be there tommorow. It will take me two trips, but it will be done."
Nov 17th - He texted my boyfriend saying he had to fire two of his guys and was doing all of their jobs for the day so he could not arrange for a pickup AGAIN. I a way to have the washers and dryers transported to him. I called multiple time, sent multiple emails to Clarence. He didn't respond to me all day until 6pm at night. "sorry I've been in meetings all day. I don't think we want to go through all of your offers that you sent me. With my current situation and finding more claims from the employees I terminated, it has taken most of my capital away today. I'm sure if you place those machines on Craigslist you can move them by tomorrow."
DO NOT TRUST CLARENCE. In the end we had invested almost 400 on our washer and dryer. He is a crook, we feel swindled, and were lied to multiple times. HORRIBLE SERV.
