Took my wedding dress to be hemmed, it's actually a white bridesmaid dress with a satin layer and chiffon top layer. The lady said it would be a week, returned the following week, she said she was behind and it would be done next week, I was ok with this, returned the following week, she said it still wasn't done since I had mentioned my wedding was in June and she had other items needed sooner and she needed one more week, I agreed with the understanding that I would be picking it up today even if it wasn't done.



It was done today, but I was very disappointed with the job, I noticed a small hole along the chiffon hem on the front, she offered to fix it, but I declined, I pointed out she had had the dress for three weeks instead of the original one week, which I would have been fine with had she given me that estimate to begin with as I calmly explained to her, she then made a comment about mean people and I told her I wasn't being mean and that I was her customer, she told me I was mean. I then paid the $35 and left. Upon arriving home I discovered that part of the chiffon hem was already coming undone and that it wasn't even a proper french seam which is what professionals use on a light see through fabric like chiffon. Class Act advertises alterations and tailoring and she said she had done wedding dresses before, I'm very disappointed not only with the quality of the work but with the way I was treated, lesson learned.
