I have been bringing my dog here for 3 years and I will never return. I brought a perfectly healthy dog in on Nov. 13th for her yearly check up and a shot for kennel cough. After the shot she developed diarrhea, and was not herself. After 2 days she was still having diarrhea, then she vomited. My husband got concerned and took her back to the Vet. They didn't know what was wrong with her so they kept her overnight. They did blood work, gave her IV's and said she was dehydrated and she was running a fever. In the end it cost me over $1000.00, and they didn't find anything wrong. I looked up online the side effects of the kennel cough shot and sure enough these symptoms are side effects of this shot. They TOTALLY ripped me off. And I have since heard of other people that had similar experiences. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!! They are not reputable and all they do is make reasons to run up a ridiculous bill. I intend to fight this and I may take them to small claims court for fraud.

**Please read this. If not for me, for O’Malley.
Aloha Pets in Indian Harbour Beach is the most unprofessional veterinarian facility I have ever been to and I hope their facility is shut down.
If anyone takes their pets there, I urge you to find another caregiver. I’ve been there three times, solely because my cat would get severely carsick and Aloha is only a mile from my house. Each visit has been worse and worse. I was influenced by staff to see a different doctor every time. The second visit was only a week ago and my “new” vet didn’t even look at O’Malley’s chart from his previous visit. All they want is your money and to hurry you out of their facility. Each of my three visits, they horrendously violated HIPAA regulations by leaving previous client/pet information on their computers in the rooms. The culture never changed even after I showed doctors the violation. This last time I actually took a picture of a woman’s personal information page to send to the Veterinarian Board for proof (I literally know where she lives and tons of other personal info now). I also heard the techs talking shit about me wanting to visit O’Malley while they had him in their “care.”
If you have ever been to this place, I urge you to leave reviews on Yelp, Google, Facebook and reach out the the Board if you are willing to. They let my cat die from an asthma attack; he was fine and healthy a week ago before they administered exploratory medication because they are so uneducated.

Good Service, HUGE Bill!!

The care here is good, don't get me wrong. But the prices are out of this world! These people charged me $700 dollars for keeping my sick cat for two days. It's true, they x-rayed her and gave her IV fluids and antibiotics, but $700???

I would go the extra miles to Florida Aid for Animals or to Melbourne Vetrinarian before I walked into Aloha again and plunked down my wallet. There is good, compassionate care out there, and for a much lower price.

Hello All, I don't recommen...

Hello All,

I don't recommend Aloha because it seems they care more about milking the pet owner for expensive tests than they do about the pet, and of course you have to trust them because they are the experts. I'm willing to pay for quality care but I felt taken advantage of. And after multiple consultations the vet kept pressuring me to do more tests, of which I received a random diagnosis, had to return two more times for the same problem, and ultimately the problem was not resolved by Aloha. Huge bill, huge disappointment. I've decided to give my business to another local vet who is excellent, and puts my pet's care before their profit margin :)

I brought my pet in for a health check because I was worried about recent behavior changes. I was horribly unimpressed by this place and I will never go back. This is why:
1. The doctor was completely unprofessional
- Did not introduce himself
- Did not ask my name
2. The doctor did not give me more than 5 min of his time even though I had an appointment
3. He did not listen to what I had to say, he simply stated that my pet looked healthy
4. He did not ask anything about my pet, how I treat it, or even the reason as to why I went to the vet in the first place.

Over all, the place lacks professionalism and thorough knowledge about the animals they claim to treat; even though the doctor did absolutely nothing and was with me for only 5min, I was still charged full price. I wish I would have read the reviews before going. If I could rate it negative stars I would. THIS IS A HORRIBLE PLACE!

I have been bringing my three dogs to Aloha for seven years. I trust them. All of their veterinarians and technicians are animal lovers. I have read a few reviews of people who went one time and thought the care was too expensive. I have news for you, overnight stays and 24/7 supervision and care are not included in the cheaper non-profit clinics in the area. This place is cheaper than the 24/7 animal hospital off of Eau Gallie Blvd. My dogs are my kids. They go to Aloha for all their emergencies and routine care and maintenance of chronic conditions they have. The staff are always friendly, they have extended hours, and veterinarians are available for true emergencies. Other clinics have restricted hours, are not board certified, are not considered a hospital with required diagnostic equipment, and would refer you to a specialist (hence Aloha) in many cases. Maintaining pet care can get pricey at times, but they are worth it. Love is love, regardless of a fur baby or human baby. If you are not willing to sacrifice, protect, and provide for you pets, don't get any or find them a better home with a person who will.

With much sadness and heartache, we had to say goodbye to our cat Tiggy yesterday who was 21 years old:(. As painful as it was, the doctors and staff at Aloha Pet were amazing:) not only were they wonderfully consoling and comforting but they made the whole experience easier to go through because of their heartfelt ways.....because of their professionalism, knowledge, kindness and understanding we left knowing we made the decision that was best for our Tiggy.....as much as we love and miss her and always will she is no longer suffering and that gives me solace...so from the bottom of our hearts, thank you Aloha Pet doctors and staff for all you did:) ❤️

This Vet is the best Vet out there. The owner of the clinic came in on his day off to do a procedure that our vet at the time said that he needed. Once the vet listened to him and heard our story, he told us, "I could do the procedure if you want me to, but it's not going to tell us anything. Rather I think we should do this procedure (the cheaper one)". They did the cheaper one and found the answer. They treated my pup and saved his life 4 more times since then. I can't tell you enough how awesome these guys are. Please ignore the other reviews.

My Veternarian Danielle Becton is awesome. You can tell she truly cares for the animals. I have brought my bunny in there 3 or 4 times, something like that and she always does a good job. She takes the time to explain everything in detail. The prices seem pretty normal to me. She has done a thorough examination every time I have been there. The only negative thing was one time the asst put a towel on bum bum's head for a small little procedure. That I didn't like, he doesn't need to be restrained, just got to know him a little better. If he trusts you, he will let you do whatever without restraining him. But overall, this place is the best I've seen around here. And apparently my bunny is what you call an exotic, so they're the only ones I saw that do exotics.

***** FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY! *****

This vet is truly AMAZING! My big kitty needed emergency care one late night this summer. I took him to another practice (emergency vet ) because it was after hours for Aloha. The other place charged me a ton of money and didn't even fix my cat's problem. In the morning, I brought my big kitty to Aloha, where he was cared for by Dr. Daniel Pepen. He saved my cat's life!

He is the kindest, most compassionate veterinarian I have ever met. The other vets at Aloha are great too...but Dr. Dan is the best!

The ladies at the desk and receptionists who answer the phone are an added wonderful bonus! They have answered my questions and got messages to the vet even through my tears on occasion. I have spent lots of time taking my big kitty back to Aloha over the past few months and have seen and heard nothing but great service provided by the entire staff.

Big kitty has made an awesome recovery because of this awesome doctor at this incredible place!

Brought my cat in for an exam and had a surgical procedure recommended by the vet. She seemed nice but brought in an older vet to confirm her diagnosis. I was told by him that I was getting two vets for the price of one and that he was "board certified". Didn't think anything of it at the time, but it should have been a sign. I was told that the female vet was doing the procedure but when I picked up my cat, I learned that the "board certified" vet had done the procedure. The estimate that I was provided did not even matter because the bill was double due to changes made by the "board certified" vet. This place lacks communication and organization. It certainly was not a pleasant experience. I asked to speak to a manager and ended up talking someone who definitely did not possess the personality capable of holding that position. She was rude and interrupted everything I said. I was made to feel that if I was unhappy I can just go somewhere else. Well, that is exactly what I am going to do!

I was referred to this hospital by a friend who does not go there anymore. She stopped going because it was expensive but said they provide great care. It was the most upsetting vet visit I have ever experienced. The vet I saw rushed me and appeared to not even listen to me. He talked to me in a condescending manner and brought "my little baby" to the back and ran a bunch of tests without even giving me an estimate or getting my consent. When I saw the bill and complained, he said, "don't worry, I gave you a discount and you can pay it off". Sure I can pay it off. Sure I have the money, but what disrespect. Not to mention the problem was misdiagnosed. I ended up seeing another vet that diagnosed the real problem. Worst experience in my life. This fancy clinic looks good on the outside but the care you get is lacking. I have heard many negative things about the doctors that work there since that visit. All you have to do is ask around and you get a lot of opinions. It is the most expensive hospital in the area and in my opinion the worst hospital in the area.

I HIGHLY recommend this vet!! He was Amazing!!

I took my juvenile bearded dragon with an impaction into the office as a walk-in first thing Monday. My wait was very short (15 mins) considering I was a walk-in with no appointment. My poor little guy was so bloated and soar he required surgery. With him still being a baby bearded dragon and impacted for 3 days, I was nervous of him making it thru the surgery. The vet said it was a 50/50 chance, but we took it. He called me as soon as surgery was complete to let me know how it went. Theo would require an overnight stay with IV drip in a temperature control incubator. I received a phone call the next morning letting me know that he made it thru the night but was still critical and he advised that Theo stay at least one more night. As much as we feel that our pets are family members, I'm not a wealthy person and I knew I could not afford much more than what I had already been quoted. I had to ask tho....how much extra is it for the overnight stays and extra treatment? Nothing. It’s included in the surgery fee.

So to those who said that Aloha Pet Hospital is over-priced, I could NOT disagree more!!! Office visit, x-rays, surgery, IV and two overnight stays....less than $300. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

I had been taking my dogs and cats to a different vet just because it was closer to home, but not now. Aloha will get ALL my pet care business and I will Always Highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. The care and love that was put into my little baby bearded dragon....well it saved his life. That man....that vet....he saved Theo’s life and I will be Forever grateful!!!

My teenage daughter came in with her little hamster in it's little cage distressed that it was sick. Before she left they had gotten $110 out of her for a HAMSTER. I was livid but she was trying to do this herself so went alone. How they could charge a child that much for a hamster is beyond me. It died a few days later with her holding it truly upset and bewildered that she wasn't warned it would probably die nor given the option of letting it die in peace instead of a vet insisting on prodding tests that made no difference as they STILL didn't tell her anything, taking all that money. She's left with a dead pet and no money in her account that she'd worked hard for. No recommendation from us! Sometimes vets can use their hearts instead of their accounting logs as it's been done for us before depending on the situation as to what is REASONABLE! There ARE vets out there that care.

This is the only AHAA certified vet in the area. Yes, they are expensive! The doctors are highly trained and skilled, all exams, blood tests, xrays etc can be done on site! They are very flexible if you come in with no appointment and need to see a vet right away. Some people want to save money by going to cheaper vets, but you get what you pay for. Aloha can do many diagnostics and treatments that other vets cannot. Aloha and the vets are the BEST money can buy and I would never consider taking my cats elsewhere. I would trust their lives with the Aloha staff.

I have been going to this vet for 5 years now. They are the best in the central florida area. I can't tell you how many times they saved my pit and would have kept up with it but I felt it was time to put her at rest. They were compassionate and it wasn't just lip service. I know they are more expensive but in the long run it's the treatment and cure that counts. I have 3 dogs (westie, lab and blue heeler) still with me and we have since moved to Rockledge and I make the drive without hesitation to go to this vet. I checked around for vets in this area and their prices were not that much cheaper so what's a little drive to get the best care around for part of your family. If your pet isn't part of your family then you have no business with it. My advice to anyone is to try this vet and see for yourself how great they are.

You Get what you Pay for, and then some

While this place may be a bit more expensive than your typical vets office, your paying for service, experience, and quality.

I have a bearded dragon, an Australian lizard, which is considered an exotic pet, and finding a Herp (reptile) vet in this area isn't so easy, especially one for Beardies. I had an impacted beardie that needed immediate treatment. I called them at 8am and they had an open appt. for 11:30, but i had to teach at 1 pm across town. They allowed me to walk-in with no appt as long as i was able to get there before 10 am. I was there by 9:15, in an exam room by 9:30, getting an x-ray by 9:40, looking at an x-ray by 9:45. Then they gave him an enema and i was done paying and out of the clinic by 10:05 am. NOW thats better and faster service than going to my own doctor.

The visit was not cheap, it was $45 for the exotic pet check up, $75 for the x-ray, and $40 for the enema. The final bill was $160, which isn't bad for a xr-ay and treatment with the checkup.

On top of it all, The vet was very well educated and had a great demeanor with both the pets and their owners. The nurses are compassionate and gentle with small animals. Also while I was waiting to see the vet, I overheard the nurses placing phone calls to owners to check up on animals that the clinic treated recently. All and all, it was a great experience for us at the clinic as my beardie passed his stool 4 hours after the treatment. I feel that there is no price too high to pay for his health, happiness and wellbeing.

As for the other poster complaining about high price of medical care for regular domestic animals...stop your complaining and remember that your pet is a member of the family. You wouldn't take your child to a back-alley surgeon to remove a appendix just to save a few bucks, would you? I said it once, and I'll say it again expensive veterinary care is like expensive medical care for humans, you get experienced service that has good bedside manner.
