My husband has been trying to see someone in this office as he has 7 ruptured disks in his back due to a car accident in August 2010. The people that answer the phone and make appts do not have any consideration for the pain he is going thru and also have quite an attitude. It's like you are bothering them for them to do their job and they make it as difficult as possible. They scheduled him and when he arrived on time, they told him there was no doctor there that could see him. Why would someone schedule a patient knowing there were no doctors available???
Very rude to patients and he had this accident 6 monts ago and has yet to be seen!! I do not recommend this office if you actually want any help.
I apologize if anyone was rude to you while trying to schedule an appointment for your husband. There is never any excuse for our staff to be rude. I did do a little research though and we have scheduled 2 appointments for your husband and he has No Showed to both of them. We usually don't get comments about our staff being rude as we strive hard to make a visit to KCPain a positive one. We will definitely work on that. Sincerely, Curt Johnson

They do not care if your in pain surprising coming from a pain center cannot contact anyone will not respond to messages have been waiting over a week go elsewhere do not waste your time

I met with Dr. Acks yesterday, a nice man, and he prescribed a class A pain reliever. They said they would E-mail it into the Pharmacy. The pharmacy said they do not accept E-mailed class A prescriptions. I have been unable to speak to anyone at the office. I have left messages but have not been contacted. It is now over 24 hours and I still don't have any pain meds from a PAIN CENTER. I was under the assumption they were there to relieve pain, not prolong it. People were nice but evidently uneducated as to the ways pharmacies operate. I sure would like to hear from them.

Called three separate days to make an appointment and no one answers the phone. On my last visit one of the nurses was unbearably rude.

Assembly line medicine. Had MRI done at Centerpoint. KC Pain unable to view MRI from disc, yet I was able to view on my pc at home. No advice for long term. No advice for do or don't. Cursory physical exam and then prescription for muscle relaxers. Left feeling uninformed, ripped off, and confused. Not reccommended.

I called because I couldn't remember my appointment time. And the scheduler Debbie was so rude to me. All the doctor wanted to do was put me on pain meds give a shot and send me on my way. Instead of trying to fix the problem. I would not recommend the to anyone.

Dr. Johnson is great, however, their nursing staff needs a round of customer service training. I would recommend them only for the doctor, but all of the nursing staff are very full of themselves. I can go elsewhere, apparently they don't understand that. I was spoken down to on multiple occasions. I am an educated, intelligent woman and do not appreciate being spoken to like a 5-year old.

I can't say enough about everyone here and the south office!!! They are all wonderful! I would definitely recommend them!!!

Agreed! Their phone manners are horrible! They very much make you feel like a disruption to their day. I am keeping my appointment so we'll see if the care compensates or matches their unfreindly, uncaring first impression offered to clients over the phone.
