We booked our son's birthday party at Blast Off the Monday before the party. Gray, part owner, helped me book the party, explained how the pizza, drinks, room, and wristbands would work for our party. The basic party package is $35. We opted for the $100 package because of the size of our group. They provided a freezer, paper plates, napkins, cups and everything available for cake and ice cream (except a cake knife). We ordered 4 pizzas at a premium price through them, with 4 pitchers of soda, 12 wristbands, etc. I dropped the ice cream cake off to them 2 hours early for storage in their available freezer. Up until this point, we had good customer service.

On the evening of the party, we arrived a bit early and got the kids banded as they arrived for playtime. One of the kids RSVP'd late and has multiple severe food allergies and cannot eat pizza. He is 3 years old. Approaching Gray, we were told the following things;
1.) Had we let them know 2 days in advance, they would have been able to work with us as long as it was a homemade pizza or pizza without cheese.
2.) Chicken nuggets or anything not pizza-like would not be allowed, regardless of prior notice.
3.) The 3 year old child was welcome to step outside, away from all the other children at the party to eat his separate food and then come back in to play.
4.) He also told us that he understood food allergies because the other owner gets ill when she comes in contact with gluten. We responded that this child would quit breathing, turn blue and require emergency medical assistance. He told us that he was unable to make exceptions and that he knew the other owner would feel the same way but refused to allow us to speak with her.

We are upset at this. We have been regular customers, were not told that there would be an issue if anyone had food allergies, and were frustrated that our business meant little to nothing to them. Aside from our 25+ people, there were only 4 other customers in the area.

Working retail, I understand fully about rules that govern businesses. However, there are always exceptions to rules for valid and reasonable reasons. They were unwilling to work with us on a necessary, valid and reasonable reason and dismissed our patronage as being unimportant. Singling out and excluding a 3 year old child because he has extreme food allergies has turned them into a failure of a local business. We will no longer be patronizing their facility for parties or otherwise.

RUDE Owner!!!

In this economy, you would think customer satisfaction was important....not to this lady!! She was rude from the start! We rented one of the small rooms for a party for a 1 year old. The minute the birthday girl and her 4 yeaar old sister walk in they were attacked by the owner and told they needed wrist bands right away! okay could you wait 2 seconds?? The gifts and cake were set on a table outside of the rented room so they could HURRY and get the all important wrist bands on. The owner then comes up and says " you need to get that cake and the gofts in the room RIGHT NOW" and opens the door of the room and walks off. WOW! The 1 year old got carried away eating her birthday cake (wierd for a 1 year old right???) The mother went and asked for a vacuum and was more than happy to clean it up. She was told by a very nice teenager that worked there not to worry they would get it. Twice more the mother asked if she could please clean it up and was told no worries. As they were leaving the RUDE owner again attacks and says "next time you should be more careful with the cake, what a mess!" Needless to say there will not be a next time for them or anyone in the party, myself included! We will go to Leo's Place where they are friendly and appreciate your business!!!!!

The "small" mess left by the customer, took 2 hours to clean. All parties in the room after them had to be moved to other areas. The carpets had to be steam cleaned. We were unable to use it again, until the next day.

We bought the super session pass. My brother has strider (kinda like asthma). He and I played Lazer tag and after a while, he couldn't breathe because of the fog machine. He then asked if my dad could take his pass and the owner said "No." Which is perfectly fine. We just decided to stop playing. My brother later said it calmed down and said he could play one more time. We went over to ask to play another, and the same guy turned to my brother and said (UNPROVOKED) in a patronizing tone, "Oh. How about you pay for the games you played and I'll give your dad the pass?" I was silent for a second because the tone of his voice shocked me. I had never had a person of business talk in such a patronizing tone. Now, my brother has a brain injury, so I don't take well to people talking to him like he's stupid, so I decided to answer. I realized we had played three games then and said, "It would be cheaper just to buy another pass." He looked at me very smugly and said something along the lines of, "Exactly. Don't try to cheat me." I didn't even realize we had played that many games until then. HE HAS STRIDER. That was the only thing on my mind. My brother wasn't even going to say anything because he didn't realize how rude the owner was. I said, "You don't have to be rude, we didn't realize." He smiled smugly and said, "I'm running a business."

My thought: Obviously not very well because I will definitely not be back. Nor will any of my friends and family.

I don't understand the severe negativity.

I have been to the establishment numerous times over the years and have never been disappointed.

Service has always been extremely friendly and accommodating. Prices are a little on the high side, sure, but not deal breakers.

They don't babysit for you, which may be what some of these reviewers expected. If you have 20 kids you should have people with you to help manage them.

All that said, they have a variety of things to do, food can be ordered and takes maybe half an hour. It has a really "homey" / casual feel that I have always loved.

I recently went for a birthday party and i will not be going again! The lady at the cash register was beyond rude and unwelcoming. You would think at a place like blast off they would NEED to have a upbeat, friendly attitude but nope. I arrived after driving 3 hours and asked the lady how much wrist bands were, $5.50 for 2 hours until they closed. So i paid for three and my four year old was sick so i let her know he wasnt going to be playing. She said "sorry every child needs to have one." Ok, so ill hold onto it and if he plays ill put it on but if he sits and does nothing the whole time ill refund it, right? Nope, "they have to be on the childs wrist!" So whatever i took the loss, however then she says rudely "you are responsible for keeping your children away from the mini golf as we are painting it." Um, ok i can definitely watch my kids but there were at least 20 other kids and many were under 3. That should be something your employees should do after close. Kinda dumb. Honestly, i will not be back. They are rude, overpriced, very poor customer care, and feel like they are going under as their facility isnt even close to as nice as it was 18 years ago.

I would give this place a zero star, but not an option. We walked in the door and immediately I felt unwelcome. The guy went straight to make sure your kid is cleaned up before entering. No smile for a greeting. Also my Kids were board after 10 min. It was not worth $5.50 a head. I couldn't believe the excuse for a golf recourse they had. I could have gone to McDonalds and have my kids play for free. Not worth it to drive 1 hour and 20 mins for. Very disappointed.
