One of the BEST

Before moving to WA, I lived in HI for almost my entire life. Rainbows was always an eatery at near the top of my list for 'grinds'. They serve a variety of local dishes. I recommend this place for visitors and locals alike.

They say this place is for surfers since they have big appetites but small wallets.And this place delivers.Good food at a good price.

Serving several generations of Hawaii residents and tourists alike.

The specialty of the house is the local plate lunch, which is comprised of a couple of scoops of rice, macaroni salad and an entree. There is nothing bad on the menu. From the teriyaki steak to the hamburger steak to the homemade chili, they are all good. You can eat your meal on the limited number of benches on premise or take it with you. For whatever reason, the food tastes even more flavorful after some time at the beach. A lot of food for a very reasonable price.

Good quality for the price

Some friends recommended the place as one that the locals frequent and somewhere that you can get a good meal at a reasonable price. If you want to try a bit of local flavor, this is definitely something you will want to try. The staple are the "plate lunches" that are comprised of an entree, macaroni salad and rice. Not exactly low carb, but very flavorful and filling.
