Update 6/9/2017: I received a call from Crystal who is upset about my review of Integrated Restoration Solutions below. Her brother, Jeff, was in the background screaming obscenities and railing about how they "did so much for me"...the nerve! I made it very clear during today's call and in previous conversations with Crystal that I appreciated the effort SHE put forth trying to correct the problems and as detailed below, James reinstalled the crown molding but the finished job overall is of poor quality and I would not recommend this company to anyone. Her brother, Jeff, was angry that he lost money on the job and tried to recoup it by charging us for the CORRECTIVE work. I stand by my review and if there were no character limits, I would add even more detail and additional pictures of the finished poor quality work.

Original post 5/30/2017: Prompt to get my damn money! If I could give zero stars I would. The project was to cover old plaster ceilings with sheetrock in three bedrooms and install crown molding, and paint the living and dining room ceilings. We paid a 50% deposit. The sheetrock installation was completed in the first week. Jeff then sent a 'family friend' to install the crown and paint. NONE of the joints were even remotely accurate and he went through nearly 4 contractor packs crown with not a SINGLE piece installed correctly. He filled the incorrect corner joints with caulk to try and hide the mistakes! The painting was even worse. Even in dim evening light, it was obvious the paint had been rolled on leaving thick lines where the roller was too full of paint in some areas and not enough in others...paint drips were on the walls and floors, and there is lint from the rollers throughout. He didn't cut in so there was a foot-wide gap that wasn't painted at all. He left wet paint supplies throughout the house. He tracked paint on my kitchen floor and left paint on my refrigerator doorhandle (he told Jeff he put his lunch in there!) Jeff sent a new sub to CORRECT the work. James arrived 2 days later to RE-install crown and returned 2 days after that to finish and touch up the poorly painted areas. Crystal returned the following Saturday to spray everything. The crown is a different color than the rest of the trim and the seams are still visible. They didn't cover everything leaving a mist of paint on the hardwood floors, walls, etc. which when they tried to wipe it off left a film of wiped paint. They took leftover drywall...quote was for 20 sheets...drywall installer confirmed it only took 15 sheets. Jeff's wife then sent a final invoice for nearly the full amount of the original quote with NEWLY added line items for the CORRECTIVE work! I ended up paying the original 50% balance. Jeff tried to cut corners which resulted in a sloppy, half-assed finished product and damage to our home.

Shoddy work and dishonesty

If I could give zero stars I would. The project was to cover old plaster ceilings with sheetrock in three bedrooms and install crown molding, and paint the living and dining room ceilings. We paid a 50% deposit. The sheetrock installation was completed in the first week. Unbeknownst to us, Jeff then sent a family friend, Pops, to install the crown molding and paint. I wish I could attach the pictures of what this guy did to our house! The work wasn't even entry level do-it-yourselfer quality...NONE of the joints were even remotely accurate and he went through nearly 4 contractor packs (10 pcs per pack) of crown molding with not a SINGLE piece installed correctly. He filled the incorrect corner joints with caulk to try and hide the mistakes! The painting was even worse. Even in dim evening light, it was obvious the paint had been rolled on [Jeff stated it should have been sprayed on (which is STANDARD for new drywall installations)] and there were thick lines throughout where the roller was too full of paint in some areas and not enough paint in other areas...paint was dripped in several places on the walls and floors, and there is lint from the rollers throughout the entire paint job. He didn't cut in near the crown so there was a foot-wide gap all around in ALL of the rooms that wasn't painted at all. He left wet paint trays, rollers, buckets and brushes throughout the house. He also tracked paint on my kitchen floor and also left paint on the doorhandle of my refrigerator (he told Jeff he put his lunch in there!) I sent the pics to Jeff and asked for an explanation. He apologized but didn't offer up much of an explanation, saying he would send a new crew to CORRECT the work immediately. No one arrived until TWO days later and that subcontractor, James, spent the entire day RE-installing crown molding. James returned again two days later to complete the crown re-installation as well as touch up SOME of the poorly painted areas. With the CORRECTIVE work still incomplete (we're now knee deep into week THREE!), Jeff said a "cleaning crew" would clean up the mess left by Pops which turned out to be him and his sister. Crystal and another family friend returned the following Saturday to repaint everything with a sprayer and put a second coat on the crown molding. They did not paint the crown the specified color so it is a different color than the rest of the trim and the straight seam joints are still visible. They did not cover everything leaving a mist of paint on the hardwood floors, walls, doorknobs, etc. which when they tried to wipe it off only succeeded in leaving a film of wiped paint, which may result in having the floors refinished altogether. We have to repaint the master bedroom since the sheetrock installer mudded and sanded the walls near the ceiling and it is visible below the crown molding. They took leftover drywall that we were charged for. The quote was for 20 sheets, the drywall installer confirmed to me that it only took 15 sheets...you do the math. Add insult to injury, Jeff's wife then sent me a final invoice for nearly the full amount of the original quote with NEWLY added line items for the CORRECTIVE work...basically wanting me to pay for the work done to correct Pops' mess! I responded with questions about the changes from the original quote, and their response was to ask me to pay the original remaining 50% balance, which I did. However, I am discussing possible legal action with my attorney for the cost of repairs for the damage done to our home (floors and walls), the stolen materials and the attempt to extort additional monies from us for CORRECTIVE work. There were more lies told by Jeff but I only have so many characters to relay this debacle. Jeff tried to cut corners by using inexperienced, unskilled subs which resulted in a sloppy, half-assed finished product and damage to our home.
