I had the incredible misfortune of coming to the Hicksville location to have testing done. The receptionist at the front desk is completely incompetent and unprofessional . I work in the healthcare field myself, this office is extremely unorganized, they should be able to do the simple task of accepting a sample with a faxed referral without a problem. I was to have an analysis done that was time sensitive. I came to the office with 30 minutes to spare. My referral was faxed 1 week prior to my appointment and received confirmation it was received. I also called the Hicksville office two days earlier to confirm it was in there possession They confirmed it was in there possession and stated it was "upstairs". The Hispanic receptionist , (dark brown hair in her early 50's) went upstairs to look for it and said she could not find it after pleading with her to check again she refused. Alast, I asked to speak with her manager. She left to get her manager and amazingly came downstairs with my referral (but no manager). She then refused to accept the sample as she could not read the fax number on my referral! I reminded her it is a time sensitive test and only had 7 minutes left. Finally after dealing with this callous individual she took the sample but could not tell me if they were going to start testing right away, I only had 3 minutes to spare before the sample spoiled. Extremely dissatisfied with this experience. I will not come back in the future for any other testing and will not refer patients there. They should be ashamed the way they conduct there business, very unprofessional.
