Drs. kalinowskii and Keller are two of the most thorough, professional, caring, and knowledgeable veterinarians I�ve ever found. Their service sets the standard by which all others should be measured. I don�t know if it�s possible to find a more devoted, caring vet than Dr. Kalinowski. He has considerable experience, a gentle temperament, and a great mind at puzzling out difficult situations. My cats loved Drs. Kalinowski and Keller, and Dr. Keller was fantastic about giving me care options right up until the end. I have two new cats and have moved 80 minutes away. There are several vets within 15 minutes. But I�m thinking about making the drive; they�re that good. I forgot to mention that their follow up on how your pet is doing is fantastic, and it feels like they are a true partner in my pets� health care. And somehow, they do all this while providing service at an incredibly reasonable price (in comparison to other vets I�ve seen). Bravo.

this is a great vet to go to for reptiles ONLY if you get the right veterinarian. DO NOT SEE Dr. Natalie Kellar. she is not a good herp vet. iv seen her 3 times. this last time was an emergency for my fat tail gecko. who had gotten injured under a fridge. I am very angry, she could not see that my geckos jaw had locked. she was dyeing and weak, and she thought she was being stubborn ending up cutting up her mouth when trying to inspect. my gecko became limp and weak not even half an hour after the appointment and died soon after. every other time I brought my geckos to her I paid over $50 to be told to "watch it". twice this has happened. if you need to bring your reptile in only do it with Dr. David Kalinowski if you can. I highly recommend him, he was always kind to my geckos and treats them as if they were his own. while Dr. Kellar is very stand offish. seems like she doesn't care. Dr. Kalinowski 5 STARS! Dr. Kellar 1/2 STAR!

My father-in-law is a vet in a town a few hours away from Hibbing. Our dog was diagnosed with lymes and treated by him with about 3 months of antibiotics. A week after the meds were done the dog had a very quick a serious flare up again. The initial treatment was obviously not enough to kick it out. We brought a very sore and seriously I'll dog to Dr. Kalinowski and explained the situation. Not only did he listen and understand, he asked if he could talk with my father-in-law and find out his thoughts. He treated the dog and his charges were much less than anticipated. He also told us to come back the next day if the dog did not show significant improvement. We brought the dog back the next day and he treated him again and did not charge us for an office visit. Outstanding service and great vet.

Dr Kalinowski has helped us out twice.First when our dying Collie needed to be put down and our vet conveniently had other things more important to do and the second time when our cat was at the end stage of his disease. Couldn't get ant local vets to even talk to us and Dr K took us immediately. Now he is our permanent vet. He and his staff are very caring and concerned about the pet as we as the owner. A1 place!

I have two pets with health problems. One pet has diarrhea all the time and is overweight but not because he eats too much. Vet did a blood test and his white blood cell count was low. Vet never pursued it to find out why. He just said its normal for that to happen. While he is very nice and seems to love animals I question his capabilities. My pet is getting fatter and the diarrhea continues every day for months. But this vet seems to think its just the way my pet is. The other pet is having pee problems. He only pees a little tiny bit each and every time, It has a gravy consistency and is dark. The vet prescribed antibiotics. When this didn't help he xrayed him to make sure there were no stones blocking the path. Nothing. Round 2 of antibiotics. Still did not help. Vet's answer...its just the way the pet is. But yet he ordered NO blood work to see if he has kidney problems. I will be finding a new vet even if I have to drive to a new city because the other vet in this area is worse!!

I just wanted to let everyone know how wonderful everyone is at the Mesaba Animal Hospital. This place has a new owner, Dr. David Kalinowski, and he is an excellent vet. My dog (gold retriever) needed ACL surgery and he came in on New Years Eve to do the surgery, and again New Years Day to discharge her, as this was the only time I could conveniently be there for an overnight stay. All for a fraction of the price I had been quoted elsewhere. He is definitely our new vet, it is worth the 3+ hour drive!!!
