777rdr sorry you had a bad experience at Helen Marine but I have been taking my boat for many years to there and have taken everything to there from my boat covers and tops to cushion. They are by far the best there is in that industry and Rene is a superb business owner. Also his son is there now giving him a hand and jobs are coming out even faster. I will recommend Helen Marine to anyone and will keep taking it there time and time again. Also 777rdr no matter where you go Helen Marine will always have the superb quality over anyone else on the market.

stay way from this business.. I brought my bimini top to be remade... brought the old one so that they could reproduce it.... 3 weeks latter... supposed to have complete it in one week.... he tells me that he has all the materials ready... but cant find the bimini that I took to him.... I had called him early in the week to confirm a pick up day... and he acted like everything was under control.... what a irresponsible business owner this Rene guy is.... never again,,,,

I have done work here at Helen marine for many years. Rene is an honest man and does amazing work. his prices are reasonable and the work is done in no time. he even goes to you if you cannot take the boat to him I recommend Helen marine to anyone that asks me. this business truly is "the top of the boat tops"

I have been there many times. Have been going to Helen Marine since it was owned by Helen herself. Now it is still in the family and owned by her great nephew, had my cover done as promised and delivered on a timely basis. Delivered my boat on a Tuesday and picked up my cover by Thrusday. Great family business, hope it is open for many more years to come.Take your boat here you won't regret it.

The first time I was ever at Helen Marine It was run by the original owner I believe he was called "Chuchi" but he has retired and the business supposedly is now run by a nephew. Well, save your money and headaches and take your business elsewhere. The guys is a slacker, I left my boat to have the t-top canvas replaced on a Thursday it was promised by Friday and possibly later on that same day Thursday. I called on Thursday around 5PM and he said he was tied up and would not get to it until Friday. Okay so now its Friday, I show up around 4PM to pick up my boat and he tells me he didn't have a chance to finish it- that it would be done on Saturday. I show up around noon on Saturday-he is not there, I'm told to try back around 3-4pm. I show up at around 5pm again he says his seamstress didnt show up all he is doing is catching up on his work. Now its promised on Monday, Monday comes around I show up around 3PM and he tells me that he could not remove the outrigger bases, antenna and light that are attached to the t-top and tells me that my canvas is all done and hands it to me- he says it's easy to install. (By now I'm thinking to myself this guy is nuts if he thinks that i am going to install this after paying full price) So I tell him ok i will remove those articles (that way I could clean up the aluminum t-top frame). Skip forward one week(yes it took me a week to get it done- a lot of rain plus it was Labor day week) It is now the following Tuesday and I just dropped it of for him to finish installing the canvas. I dropped it off at 9AM he told me to come back at 5PM lets see if is done this time.

As you can see this guy just keeps putting thing off and does not run a business the right way- SO SAVE your time and money and try another canvas shop - I would never recommend this shop again.
