Smiles By Bigelow

Tod Bigelow is an incompetent, unprofessional dentist who shows no concern for his patients. He dropped a dental instrument into my father's throat and then sent him alone to the emergency room to check and see if it would cause damage. He was 83 years old. BUT Dr. Bigelow insisted that he pay his bill for that day's work before he left for the emergency room.

We reported him to the State Board who did nothing. We can only hope that local people recognize what an incompetent and mean spirited dentist he is and that his practice suffers from his reputation.

I went to Dr. Bigelow, I wanted to get my partials for my missing teeth. He molded my teeth then his assistant told me I have to do a deep cleaning. I knew I didn't need to do a deep cleaning but she insisted that I needed it. So, I took her word for it and said okay. Then Dr. Bigelow gave me a shot at the top center of my mouth with a huge needle. That needle scared me to death! To make matters worse he was very rough and shoved it up there. The pain was very horrible and I screamed so loud! He didn't say sorry or nothing. He just left the room and told me he'll be back later. Then his assistant came with an instrument and started poking around my gums which made my gums hurt and bleed. In the end she didn't deep clean my teeth at all. This was a very horrible experience for me and I advise that no one goes to see him. I know what a deep cleaning should have been like because I have done it many times before with better doctors. But his assistant was just playing around with my gums. She was trying to pretend like she was doing something. I still didn't want to be rude so I just left. When I came out to pay for the service half of my nose was starting to feel very numb. When Dr. Bigelow stuck that needle up my nose my mouth was not fully numb. The receptionist made me another appointment but when I got home I called & told them I will never come back to see Dr. Bigelow because it was the worst experience I had ever had. The worst part is why did I pay them money? Why did I pay them money when they did nothing but hurt me? I should have. I wish I should have complained right on the spot.

As a new patient, Dr. Bigelow did two crowns for me. First - both of the temporary crowns fell off within one week. The permanent crowns never fit correctly because he ground the tooth down so far that the crown went under the gumline.



When I asked him to check them, he stated that there was nothing he could do. Of course not, he had already made his money off of my insurance and had no intention of spending any more time with me.

I have two friends that have also been to him with bad experiences.



Both crowns were replaced by another dentist and my teeth are normal again. I will never make the mistake of going to a dentist that is just out to make the fastest dollar that he can.
