Holy Redeemer Thrift Store

Earlier this week, I purchased a chair and loveseat. Against my better judgement, and as a matter of convenience, and I was assured that this delivery service was VERY reliable I paid $80.00 to have it delivered on Saturday, July 17th. I waited in all day, as the delivery window was between 1:00 and 5:00 P.M. I called the store at 4:55P.M., because I had heard nothing from the delivery person. The person who answered the phone told me that he knew that my merchandise was indeed on the truck, but he would try to get in touch with the driver to see what had happened. Within minutes, the driver returned my call, and told me that he was at the store loading, but had tried to call me on MY phone. He was calling the wrong number. He would be delivering my merchandise within the hour to some address in DOYLESTOWN. I live in Northeast Philadelphia. It is now 5:26 P.M.. I am still waiting. I would have been MUCH better off renting a truck and toting the stuff myself! I am sorry, but that is just poor customer service. VERY poor. Perhaps the store should rethink their delivery service. While I can understand that delays can happen, a phone call to the RIGHT number would have been greatly appreciated. Where would have MY merchandise been delivered, and at what time, had I not called the thrift store? After much aggrivation, my merchandise arrived after 5:30. That was definitely NOT the best $80.00 I have ever spent.
