Regent Care Center Inc

The care is extremely lacking. I have a parent there but am in the process of moving my parent. Until this is completed I will disclose minimal info. After the residents eat the tables cleared but not wiped down. The residents were playing with particles of meat left on the table. Disgusting! Another day a night snack was served on the (again) barely cleaned off table. No plate. No napkin. Residents who said "Thank you" do not get a humane "Your Welcome" in return. Another family member went 1 day & for over a 1/2 hr there was 1 aide who was in the room but sat facing the wall. I understand it is an imperfect situation but this is their job so they need to do it well. They should definitely treat the residents with respect. Another day an aide saw my parent & I walking in the hall. She thought I was lost & said "Do you need help"? That was nice. I didn't so I said "No, Thank you". 20 min. later my parent had to use the bathroom. The same aide rudely said "I asked you 20 min. ago!

A friend of mine who has terminal breast cancer is in your facility - Regent Care, Polify Rd, Hackensack NJ, for the past couple of days. She has Medicare and a friend of mine who visited her on 11/19/2006, said: 1. The air bed was collapsed, causing pain to friend who recently had hip surgery as well, waiting over 40 minutes to have mattress checked2. Telephone was kept in drawer so patient had no availability for it 3. Nurse button was also kept in drawer so that patient was not able to reach it to summon nurse 4. when patient complained about pain, two of my friends asked 2 nurses' aides about medication, was told she was given to her about 1/2 hr ago...patient still complained about it continuously, again asked for medication...only to find out she was given only aspirin....I am a breast cancer advocate and I feel that the night nurse's aides activities should be monitored.....If changes are not made, tv news will be notiied of problems..
