Al Prime at Groton

I have been going to that gas station for over 15 years. I realize the guy started with nothing and I did go there for the cheap gas. But now it has turned into a conglomerate. When I got to the gas station today, I noticed that I had left my small purse with all my license and credit cards at home. I did have my checkbook. I was desperate as I had pulled in with fumes. I know that's not how to drive a car but that is what the situation was today. I went in and told him the situation and asked if I could I write a check. He said no. He said what bank is it? I told him and he told me to drive to that bank to cash a check. I told him that the red light had been on for awhile (how long? I said I don't know, awhile). I told him that the gauge was all the way over into the red. (how many miles since the red light went on? I said, I don't know). He could see that I was getting frustrated and he said, hey, I'm just trying to help you. Really? He said sorry and just dismissed me like that. At this point I was desperate since I live about 20 minutes from this gas station and I knew I was going to run out of gas. I walked out of there and started to cry out of frustration and a very kind woman, good samaritan asked me what was wrong. She proceeded to go inside and paid $10 for my pump and would not give me her name and address. She told me to pay it forward, which I most definitely will. What I most definitely will not do is ever step foot into this establishment ever again.
