Before Tanning, take a shower and exfoliate the skin to remove any residue of perfume, deodorants, lotions, shower body wash available at salon or stay away from body moisturizing washes, no mineral oil, petrolatum. Clean neck area well removing hair product build up. Shave with clean body wash.. Such a residue from shaving cream and hair conditioner on the skin will act as a barrier against effective retention of the airbrush tanning solution on the skins surface. Remove all jewelry and clothing, and try to keep them off several hours after the tanning. Stay dry..the spray booth does not tell you how to maintain tan and prepare for best natural color results. During Tanning treatment, We or I, Vaseline nails, hands and feet, hair net, the airbrush will darken slightly over the course of the day. You will see color right away, I have different color mixes and DHA strengths for different parts of the body and on how dark your skin should be ;the spray booth does not. Depending on how clean your skin is , is how fast you dry, do not over exfoliate , just use cleaner body wash. However, the darkened effect is only temporarily and should disappear gradually in a matter of days. One of the most important ways to make sunless product work is skin preparation. You want clean non oily skin prior to applying sunless products. The skin should breath and layering the skin has the advantage of sheilding the skin from oxygen one of the major causes of premature aging. The skin has a natural defense itself that’s why over cleansing the skin is not good. Eating omega 3 oils olive etc. sweat into the skin to protect it naturally. You are what you eat…. There are many different types of skin and many different parts of the body have different skin types. So if you want the best results someone should know what products to use on what part of the body. Some people work out more often so you would not paint their ankles and feet as much it will sweat off salt. Some people do not want their faces too dark but legs and back show in the dress they are wearing… some people are going to be on stage and photographed so the color you paint them is different then the person going to vegas for a week. I wish the after tan products worked better than they did but people are people and don’t put them on even.. The airbrush industry calls the color in the products its color guide in it just so the airbrush artist can see where they painted but in reality it can color the skin and should to hide orange and yellowish tinted effects of the DHA. 12 percent to 5 percent found in sunless lotions.
