Backwood Cafe and Restaurant

The food at Backwoods Restaurant is typical short-order fare but is priced well for the area and is also full of the flavor of a home-cooked meal, without the hassle of having to clean up the kitchen.

There can be seen even in this down economic time a parking lot full of trucks and cars every day from the early morning until they close at 2 p.m. in the afternoon.

The staff are friendly and courteous, willing to get you that refill of good hot coffee or that tall cool glass of tea on the hot afternoon after you put in a grueling morning's work.

Smoking is still allowed in this "main-drag" establishment with the smoking area on the right side of the building as you come in the door.

It is also a good place to meet up with friends and have a cup of "Joe" and chew the fat making this the unofficial Dade County Spit and Whittle club for the seniors.
